Video: Wzt. Bertukan and colleagues doing iskista

October 3rd, 2007 |  |  9 Comments

Wzt. Bertukan and colleagues do iskista with Kinijit supporters in Las Vegas as they enter the Palace Station Hotel meeting hall, Oct. 3, 2007. This is just one more proof that Kinijit leaders are a new generation of Ethiopian politicians who are comfortable being among the people. Can you imagine Woyanne or EPRP leaders doing this? Their gatherings feel like funereal services.

They are just one of us. It tells us that power comes from the ordinary people not inherited from almighty. By looking at this i just felt that those people are and will never be dictatorial. They are so simple and open. Unlike those who are always rounded up by hundred security guards. Look Mr. Meles what you are missing

Although I can understand this Eskista by the leaders will attract some kind of usual criticism and noise from the present day “Royals” and their foot soldiers, to the majority of the millions, this is proof that these leaders are one of us-the ordinary citizens. THey have done their job in the USA Congress successfuly, while others were meditating upon their misfortunes. Very many thanks to the indomitable Elias for every thing u are doing. You are a role model for the Next generation. I know whether we extol you or not, you will be doing what you are doing, because you are a born Journalist,

it shows how our elected politicians are too close to their people. This is the same thing we are seeing with leaders in any democratic country. Be together with the people in a good and bad time. There is time for politics and there is time to enjoy together. When the time comes to cry we will do it together, too.

    wonderful.
