Finally here comes a hero: you bring an unfolding genocide being committed by the brutal regime of Meles Zenawi against the innocent civilian population of Ogaden to the American highest and respected institution. As a soldier you fought with your gun for the weak and for justice and now you are doing it with your pen. Your initiative could make a big difference in the life of the population of the Somali region of Ethiopia. It could halt indiscriminate killings, torture, blanket bombings, destruction of water wells, sealing off of entire region and the non-existence of the basic human rights.
Sir, today it is an underestimeat to say that the Somali Region in Ethiopia (Ogaden) is a hell-hole on Earth.

It’s a duty of true solider to speak for the voiceless civilians that are being intimidated and wiped-out by a tyrant government. I must express my appreciation for your courage and heightened concerns that you have addressed to U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services. One can’t simply ignore the destruction of unarmed civilians by war machines “made in U.S.A” and donated to Dictator Meles Zenawi to suppress the people of Ethiopia.
