Tegbar and the Ethiopian Patriotic Youth League merge

December 3rd, 2007 |  |  7 Comments

PRESS RELEASE

The executive committees of Ethiopian Democratic Action League (Tegbar) and the Ethiopian People Patriotic Front’s Youth League (Youth League) have agreed to merge their organizations and create a unified political movement.

The primary objective of the merged group is to enable the people of Ethiopia defend ourselves from the repression and atrocities of the ruling Tigray People’s Liberation Front (Woyanne) by any means available to us.

To this end, the new movement seeks to work with all Ethiopian organizations who have similar objectives.
The movement fully supports and stands in solidarity with the newly created alliance, Unity of Ethiopians for Democratic Change (UEDC).

The movement strives to establish mutually beneficial relations with the Government of Eritrea, and other neighboring countries, as well as the European Union and U.S. Government, particularly the U.S. Congress and European Parliament, which appear to be sympathetic to the plight of the people of Ethiopia.

The movement’s leading demand is: The illegitimate, criminal regime of Meles Zenawi must be removed and be brought to justice!

The name of the new organization and its program will be released after ratification by members.

  1. Kalubicha Zerbkud says:

Yes indeed, two organizations can only merge if and only if they have a shared vision and achievable goals. The vision is a lovely democratic Ethiopia where the sons and daughters of Ethiopia unified and create synargy to bring back her glory, to empower the youth of Ethiopia, and to work harder and smarter to bring proseprity to all citizens.

It is important to realize that Ethiopians are absolutely fighting against years-old brutal enemy tooth and nail, and as a result of this battle to snatch our Ethiopia out of the enemy’s murderous and lotting hands has been intesified in all directions.

This popular movement has lead all Ethiopian to scores of incrimental victory as days go by making the enemy restless on the head and shaky on its aching knees. Right now the enemy is walking on its cane, tomorrow it will carawl on its knees to its death.

Soon Meles Zinawi, the mafia boss will travel to Lisbone, and for sure, he will appear before deligates and world leaders with his scores crime that he committed on all Ethiopians.

This time it won’t be like before he would get away by his lies and deceptive manners;because the world leaders and the global community have already evidence of his accumelated crimes that he committed on the citizens of Ethiopia and other people in neighbouring countries.

Again and for sure he will be intimidated before he takes his seats in the hall by all freedom-loving citizens of the global community and the percistent Ethiopians.

The coward dictator, when he comes out of the hall, he shall walk being drenched in filthy sweat.

  4. Belaye Zeleke says:

A Sweet Melody to Millions of Ethiopians!

As a supporter of Kinijit I am so frustrated and ashamed that the organization is consumed with its internal crisis making Kinijit a comedy stage for Woyane cadres. As Ethiopian, I am trilled and more than willing to support and join the newly formed alliance or any alliance that firmly believe the liberty of Ethiopians from all walks of life one nation under one flag.

To Tegbar and the Ethiopian Patriotic Youth League Member:

Your unity should be a wake up call for all opposition parties and useless politicians in diaspora who are detached from reality. You have made a remarkable and calculated political move to fight TPLF thugs. We can sing and enchant all the peaceful struggle songs 24/7 and that will not affect Woyane one inch. Woyane understands only armed struggle, and when we decide to fight face to face.

    No more candle light vigil
    No more round table discussion
    No more petition circulation

If Woyane can unite to destroy Ethiopia, We sure can unite to save our country. It is time to show practical struggle for the love of our motherland!

It is a start and a heralding news at that! As we all know, one got to start somewhere to finish anywhere. let’s be pragmatic and work for the benfit and unity of our peoples. Bigotry, hatred and nursing grudges against each other have taken us no where except expose us to the international voltures led by America.
