Eritrean opposition calls Isayas Afeworki ‘pro-Ethiopia’

Woyanne-backed Eritrean opposition urges the overthrow of President Isayas Afeworki for being ‘pro-Ethiopia’

(Reuters) Addis Ababa – Eritrean opposition groups should help each other bring down the pro-Ethiopian government of President Isaias Afwerki, the Woyanne-owned Walta News Agency quoted one opposition leader as saying on Friday.

“Eritrean opposition parties should unite in their struggle to overthrow the government in Asmara which is pushing the people to servitude and economic crisis”, the head of the Eritrean Peoples Democratic Front (EPDF), Tewolde Gebre-Selassie, was quoted as saying.

Several opposition groups met in the historic northern city of Axum in Ethiopia, which has bitter ties with neighbour Eritrea. The pair fought a war in 1998 to 2000.

Eritrean opposition leaders from the United States, Germany, Sweden and Sudan were at the unprecedented three-day meeting, the news agency said.

The EPDF head said Afwerki’s government was leading its people “to war and a dreadful socio-economic and political crisis” and had lost support at home and abroad while turning Eritrea into a “virtual prison”.

So what is wrong with being “Pro-Ethiopian”. These idiots need to know no genuine Eritrean hates Ethiopia. All Eritreans have been asking, and rightfully so, is that both Eritrea and Ethiopia live side by side in peace and co-operation. It is not to the interest of either country to see to it that neither is destroyed and that either of them has become a theater of foreign interests

Doesn’t having their meeting in Ethiopia make them pro-Ethiopians too. There is nothing wrong about being pro-Ethiopian. Ethiopians and Eritrians are one and the same people.

Don’t be fooled, Meles will not support Eritrean opposition that would like to re-unit with Ethiopia….. Eritrean opposition parties are only welcomed as long as they are willing to be Meles’s puppet.

I smell something fishy here. The news was published by Reuters so it’s quite unlikely it was a spelling error. I rather believe the tyrannical woyanne is trying to tell the world, indirectly through its Eritrean stooges, that Tigray is not part of Ethiopia. I am afraid Tigray’s institutions are preparing themselves to declare the independence of Tigray. All concerned Ethiopian groups, both the armed groups and the Ethiopian diaspora, must now unite and work toghether to stop the tyrant Meles Legese Zenawi from Balkanizing our country. I do believe we shall overcome in the nearest future. May Gud give those brave people fighting to keep Ethiopia united the strength they needs to deal with these trying times

If the so called eritrea’s oppositions are against ethiopia, what are those idiots doing in ethiopia? Yes ,issayas is originally from tegray[ both his mother and father are from tegray].If any one one who conrens about eritrea’s future existance peacefully, he or she must work hard to re-unify eritrea with ethiopia ,because eritreans will be a lossers ,still they are lossers.eritrea with out ethiopia is the same as fish with out water.
