Woyanne attacks Eritrean forces in Tsorena

(Biddho.com, Asmara) – In continuation to its ongoing provocations against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Eritrea, the TPLF regime has unleashed a relatively small scale attack at exactly 03:00 am local time on December 25 in Southern Tsorona area of the Southern region upon dispatched Eritrean militias and security forces assigned to patrol the Security Zone, but was met with utter failure, Colonel Zekarias Okbaghabir Commissioner to the Eritrean Ethiopian Peace Keeping Coordination Commission disclosed in a press statement to ERINA in the evening hours today.

The statement further noted that the TPLF regime had planted land mines during the past three days at Igri-Mekhel area in which a peace keeping vehicle was met with casualty.

The Commissioner further added that yesterday’s attack comes in continuation to the TPLF’s ongoing provocation and aggression in the Gash-Barka and Southern regions whereby it planted mines, carried out incursions, abducted nationals and burned crop fields to the ground.

Although the TPLF regime had tried to deny or disclaim responsibility for yesterday’s attack it was forced to accept accountability for the attack in the final hours upon the tangible evidence acquired by the Eritrea-Ethiopia peacekeeping force after carrying out first hand surveillance in the area, the statement concluded.

  1. It seems the harvest season is about to be completed and meles is trying to get international attention to cave in to Shabia!! At this time, meles can not afford to wage war against shabia!! He may have the military hadware but he will not have the support of Ethiopians to carry on the war for longer time. he will try to whip up some national sentiment by raising the Assab issue and he may even try to luanch a surprise attack on Assab but what if he fails? if he can’t win in somalia, how on earth do the weyane supporters who are nagging meles to give issaise of shabia a final blow? Meles is trying to brag about the upcoming war to be the final one… Gebru Assrat of weyane (the notorious weyane who was responsible for the demise of 70k ethiopians during the past war with shabia) said Meles is not ready to go to war! gebru thinks that Eritrea is!! So this small atatck on tserona is cry for help from the west!! I dont hink Shabia is expecting war either, if it was it would move its civilians from war front areas. So even though, anything could happen, my hunch feeling is that the yesterdays slight provocation is a cry for help from meles, i.e, the itnerntional community to innitiate some kind new process, so he could cave in to eritrea’s demands or buy more time untill he settles his problems in Somalia… his biggest problem would be what if this time around the initiative is taken by shabia? then this wild goat(yemeda feyel) meles is tossed!!

  2. There is no doubt the midget Primitive minister want’s more blood shed with the people of Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Somalia so he can enjoy more joyfull life in Melelik palace; however, the main quetion would be: how many 100,000 did Meles, Bereket, and Seyoum produced this time among them? Because that’s how many innocents they sacrificed in the last war and for what would be the reasons to go to war when there is internationally recognized verdict! think

  3. This small scale attack on Eritrea only reveals how desperate Weyane has become. A couple of days ago ONLF declared it had defeated Weyane in a battlefield killing a Weyane colonel (Col. Ghebremedhin, a Tigrean) who is a senior army commander in the area. It’s becoming clearer by the day that ONLF is becoming a force to reckon with the help of (you know who). Weyane is finding it so hard to contain ONLF even by sending a large force equipped with heavy weapons and assisted by helicopter gun ships. It’s only a matter of time before Ogaden becomes a no-go zone for Meles. It’s this frustration which is driving Meles to go everywhere and bite anyone on his way like a rabid dog.

  4. In the history of our nation, our leaders: kings and Emperoros never provoked a neighbouring country nor an enemy in any type of intimidation be it harasment, pre-emptive attack or any of that nature and as a result, we had had the upper hand interms of morality and civility. The Ethiopia we have now does not seem to be that of Ethiopia once we knew; as the days go by, we are seeing an Ethiopia that we don’t seem to know. We have been the peace makers and the just people, the most fair and the most kind of all civilized societies. My fellow Ethiopians, Ethiopia is in the hands of traitors, savages and cruel souls who have no humility, respect for human life and who don’t have fear of God. When you have a country under the leadership of these types of souls, I am afraid God may not be kind to Ethiopia. My prayer is that God forgive us and bring us a leader who posseses qualities that our maginificient Emperors and Kings had. May God watch over Ethiopia

  5. I believe the opposition has to take note of the possibility of war breaking out in the near future if not any day now. This could bring or create both an opportunity and challenge for both the armed (OLF, ONLF, EPPF) and non-armed (CUD, UEDF) opposition – not to be caught offguard, it is imperative on the part of the opposition to understand the timing and its implication and lead the Ethiopian people to freedom and democracy from the yoke of woyane tyranny.

The opportunity comes from the fact that the enemy of my enemy is my friend – and recent positive engagement of the opposition with the government of Eritrea is a testimoney in that regard. This certainly creates a solid foundation and access to coordinate the military engagement of Woyane by eritrean forces – through spying on woyane forces and military strategy and sharing the information with Eritrean forces, by campaigning among the non-Tigrean portion of the Ethiopian Defense Forces to turn the gun onto Woyanes, by cutting supply routes within Ethiopia, by striking at woyane establisments within Ethiopia, by calling on mass uprising, call on students and teachers to protest, to strike against all woyane thugs and criminals who are killing and maiming people in Ogaden etc, to strike against woyane prisons and free all prisoners of conscience. If the opposition is determined to work and plan on the general themes mentioned above, Woyane will be history within weeks – and Meles and other criminals will be brought to justice!!!

The challenge on the other hand is to be aware of the wolves in sheep skin within the opposition – the likes of Hailu Shawel, Lidetu etc.

Elias: Please create a forum for a dialogue among the opposition how the opposition should respond in the event of a war breaking between Woyane forces and Eritrea.

  6. Bulcha,

I even go further. The Ethiopia Eritrea relationship is of strategic value not just ‘ an enemy of my enemy…” like you stated. Our relationship goes much deeper perhaps than any of the population of the Horn. More importantly, our relationship is not tactical – it is strategic – it is here to stay as long as there are Ethiopia and Eritrea in any shape or form. We always had common enemies and sadly they seem to be able to divide us and entice us to kill each other by remote control (the white man, be it the English, Italy, Soviets or America). What is wrong with us? Do we have to be rocket scientists or neuro-surgeons to figure it out that even though we have two political entities, we still are inseparable people and that we are the makers and breakers of our common destiny? We are closer than the US is to Canada, Sweden is to Norway, India is to Pakistan and the rest of the Gug Magug Africa jungle. Comon guys it is time to wise up and work for the betterment of our impoverished countries.

  7. Siye Abraha is now in America as a free man from the prision that he was locked up by his a one time peer and commrade, Meles Naziawi.

He was a prtner in destruction with Isyas Afework, too. Is he now freiendly with Isyas Afework as he was for many years guided by the same principles for achieving a common goal under the same umbrella that Meles Naziawi, Isyas Afework, and many others, and of course, himself waging war against Ethiopia?

Siye Abraha will be asked the same question by Eethiopians that they asked Meles Naziawi. Were you born to be for Ethiopia or against Ethiopia?

why were you fighting against Ethiopia, in the first place?

If you are indeed a hero for Ethiopia, what have you been doing in your life time?

How did or do or will you see the future of Ethiopia through your being an TPLF for many years and including when you were locked up in prision by your former darling Meles Zinawi and of course, how will envision the future of Ethiopia while you are declared as a free man and freely moving around in the USa?

What do you expect to happen to Ethiopia if one of your ex-friends or if one one of the fugitives wins the upcoming war?Or if either Isyas or Meles wins the battle?

What do you think this battle is to be fought for? what is the root cause of the last and the near future battle that was fought and will be fought between Isayas and Meles?

    We demand answers from you!!!!1
