Hailu Shawel’s AEUP organizers face opposition

January 10th, 2008 |  |  2 Comments

Teams of organizers sent by Ato Hailu Shawel’s enderasie Abayneh Berhanu to several regions of Ethiopia are facing opposition from former AEUP members. Kinijit supporters in Gonder, Dessie and other cities, who were members of AEUP before it merged with other parties to form Kinijit, warned Abayneh’s messengers to stop endangering the party they voted for and support… Read more by zikkir News Service. 1. Assta B. Gettu says:

Hailu Shawel wants to tear apart the country by sending his agents to some parts of Ethiopia, but it is a good news that Kinijit’s Gondar, Dessie, and many other regions have expressed their oppositions to Hailu Shawl’s messengers’ political ideology: divide and rule. This shows that Ethiopia is telling Hailu Shawel that Kinijit is the only legitimate political party that represents every Ethiopian, regardless of ethnicity and religion. I hope Hailu Shawel has got a clear message that he could not any more deceive the people of Ethiopia by claiming he is the chair man of Kinijit. I think his chairmanship is almost over for now; unless he is born again, Kinijit will never bother to invite him to its political party.

This shows you how “bigger-than-life” Hailu thinks he is! By the way, sending these messengers to Gonder and Dessie is a sign of utter ignorance (99% likely) or contempt for the people.

Fortunately, he is digging his own grave. We didn’t vote for him or for anybody for that matter. WE VOTED FOR DEMOCRACY AND UNITY. This seems to have escaped the attention of our neo-feudal lords.
