U.S. adds Somali militants to terror list

March 18th, 2008 |  |  9 Comments

Is there any group that is more terrorist than Woyanne? The fact that the State Department ignores Woyanne’s crimes against humanity, including forced starvation, mass murder of civilians, rape, torture, etc. (all reported by Red Cross and other international organizations), and instead goes after a small Somali militant group shows how misguided and destructive its policy on Africa is. The State Department is the worst representative of American values. It has caused more damage to America’s credibility and image around the world than any one else.

WASHINGTON (AFP) — The United States has added a group of Somali Islamic militants to the US list of terrorist organizations, the State Department said on Tuesday.

“Al-Shabaab is a violent and brutal extremist group with a number of individuals affiliated with Al-Qaeda,” it said in a statement.

“Many of its senior leaders are believed to have trained and fought with Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan,” it added.

The decision, made February 29, blocks any financial support the group and freezes its assets in the United States, the statement said.

The United States said Al-Shabaab “has claimed responsibility for shooting Deputy District Administrators, as well as several bombings and shootings in Mogadishu targeting Ethiopian troops and Somali government officials.”

“Given the threat that Al-Shabaab poses, the designation will raise awareness of Al-Shabaab’s activities and help undercut the group’s ability to threaten targets in and destabilize the Horn of Africa region,” the statement said.

According to USA’s foreign policy those who are refused to be USA’s puppet will be considered as terrorists. The question is what is USA going to do with them? Has USA form a better government after the collapse of islamic court?

Would this be some thing more than a pretext for any action they might have planned? As recent reports indicate linkage with terrorists was also a pretext used against Sadam. I can imagine the mess waiting for Obama to clean.

  4. Eritrean rebel. says:

I think this is a prelude before designating Eritrea as a state sponsor of terrorism. The question is, what if the Amercans have no economic impact over Eritrea? We know , at the end of the day, Weyane will be ordered to invade Eritrea on behalf of its masters and ,being their subsevient, it won’t hesitate to do it. The good thing is , 90% of ogadene & 50 of Somalia is outside weyanne control.

The leaders of state department are Condoleza Rice and Jindaye Frezer. What do you expect from these apprentice politicians?

They are just like their predecessor, Collin Powell. They will leave the office with disgrace and zero impact…just like house servant. I hope Barack will be different.

Minaret, you are full of it. You don’t even know what the hell you are talking about. First of all, Al Shabab, a terrorist group, is not only against Eritrea, it is also against the Eritrea based Somali group, Alliance for the Re-Liberation of Somalia (ARS). In fact Al Shabab always denounces the ARS for being non sectarian and “Non-Religious” fanatics. It does not like the Eritrean government for the same reason. If you believe the Weyane thugs are in Somalia for the “Security” of Ethiopia, think again for you are either a Weyane stooge or a complete idiot with no clue on what is happening in the Horn region at the advice of the US. So, please stop flaming up a situation based on false presumption. If you don’t know it, don’t say it.
