ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) – Ethiopia Woyanne blamed rebels backed by arch-foe Eritrea on Tuesday after two bombs killed three people and wounded more than a dozen in the capital.
The attacks in Addis Ababa late on Monday came a day after the nation held the first round of local, regional and federal elections that have prompted opposition claims of harassment.
"This is the work of the enemy, trying to disrupt Ethiopia's ongoing democratic elections," Information Minister Berhan Hailu told Reuters. No arrests have been made yet, police said.
Ethiopian state media said the explosions tore through two petrol stations in the city at the same time, killing and wounding residents who were queuing to buy fuel. Bloodstains and charred clothing lay at the scene of one of the blasts.
Bereket Simon, special adviser to Prime Minister dictator Meles Zenawi, blamed the attacks on separatist rebels.
"The early stages of our investigation indicate that organisations like the Ogaden National Liberation Front and the Oromo Liberation Front, who are organised and financed by the Eritrean government, are responsible," he told Reuters.
The government has often blamed rebels backed by Asmara for attacks in the past. Eritrea routinely rejects the charges.

I am 100% sure that this is staged by the woyannes, no doubt, they are trying to discredit the oppositions and or trying to start a new war to prolong their regime's life span by the expense of the blood of young Ethiopians. This time they have killed innocent lives, which is not unusual for these hoodlums, thinking it will make their claim of a terrorist attack backed by Eritrea more believable. We are not fooled! First of all I condem this kind of acts against civilians.But Iam 100% sure that this is the work of TPLF junta.Weyane blames ONLF,Eritrean government on daily basis.Weyane thugs, God already condemed you to hell.

I have been working with woyane for long period of time. You do not know WOYANE untill it falls. There are many things that Ethiopian people do not know. What we see now is nothing for Woyane. there are many calculated disastors for real ethiopian coordinated by this bullshit regime. Everybody should be strong and participate to save his/her country. It's amazing that what we afraid in other counties like America and Great Britain we finally got it at our door.Or shall i say that our own people are changing to Ethiopian Al'q……..just hate to finish the word.Like old days we need to stick together because one way or another …hu the country is progressing.So lots of neighbours didn't like that….come on people we can't change our identity and coulture and the bounding b/n us and alsowe can't let others to change us …well most of us want to see our city and country change to Sumalia.lets stick together and work things out.we have to build a city,a country not a bomb or jihad group.we Ethiopian people can be better than others.As i said i'm libral so who ever has the power we the bottom people need to work things out to start to build a better country and city not…..a bomb city.In order for us to like them we have to have money…means enough money as we all know not a suporter….for this reason we have to work together.For now we don't have nothing.u know how we have to start getting the money 1st we have to stap the Nile River then who ever is using the water……we need to start charging them cause we don't have the money and we can't creat a bomb.Then once we got the money we'll start kicking asses who ever tiching our kides to go bad…i need to stop writting cause i'm getting realllllly mad….yes we need to think about that.always we Ethiopians learn things from neighbours………WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER FOR SOMETHING BETTER CHANGE NOT FOR GONE BACKWARDS AGAIN.
