More good news: Mogadishu blasts kill 12 Woyannes

April 19th, 2008 |  |  71 Comments

(Press TV) — Heavy explosions strike Ethiopian Woyanne soldiers in southern Mogadishu, leaving at least a dozen people killed and some 24 others injured.

The blasts targeted Ethiopian Woyanne military convoys as they were heading for Radar district of Deynile in the south of the Somali capital, Press TV correspondent reported.

Eye witnesses said the incident left more than 12 foreign soldiers killed and some 24 wounded, while an Islamic Court Union spokesman put the Ethiopian Woyanne death toll at 22, which could not be independently confirmed.

Elsewhere, armed Somali groups clashed in Afgooye, some 30 km from Mogadishu, as both sides tried to take control of a building.

The fighting took the lives of four people while two more suffered serious injuries.

Heavy clashes between insurgents and Somali government soldiers continue in Harayale district, but no reliable report on the casualties has been as yet released.

Is it good news? It is absolutely incorrect if your answer is yes. No matter who he/she is when a person is killed by a bomb blast it is not a good news. We are Ethiopians, we all have faith. Those who killed in Somalia are young Citzens who joined the army because they are jobless and wanted to get something to eat. Please, dont consider all the Ethiopian army as weyanne. That is wrong, no question! The weyannes are not in Mogadishu, but they are in addis Ababa, guarding the tyrant Meles Zenawi.

Unwanted, uninvited and untrusted the woyanae robbers came into Ethiopia with nothing in their pockets but with a lot of guns and bullets to steal and murder Ethiopians.

Meles Naziawi spent years in Somalia as a messenger in distructions to recruit and organize antiEthiopia elements.

He walked in the streets of Somalia, mingled with locals and spoke their languges, went to market and bouhgt fish and rice, sat down with recruits and with a mouth-full of chat and promised a lot and plot destructions against Ethiopia.

Two Woyanae soldiers were caught redhanded rapping girls were shot dead at the spot. The same day, 17 woyanae soldiers were killed in the streets of somalia where Meles Naziawi walked on to and fro to buy chat and sugar 22 years ago.

Dead woyanae soldiers in the street of somalia. Thousnads of homeless childreen in the streets of Addis Ababa. So far, no single woyanae dead soldiers were returned to their loved ones.

Dead and Homeless. Return to the sender. The ad. reads Go Home another slogan reads in the streets of Addis Ababa. Everyone says death to woyanaes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Dear Ethiopians:
The way the army formed and the cause its members stand for made them waynes. The invasion of other country made their death justifiable. The Fascist army that came to Ethiopia or the Nazi army that killed Jews, 20 million Russians etc were made of dear sons and daughters of Italy and Germany. We still call then Fascists or Nazis. The soldiers in Somalia are Ethiopians by blood but they are wayanes, aggressors, oppressors or fascists by what they do and stand for. We always wish more than any thing else if they stand against their leaders or the weyane leadership comes to its none existent senses and withdraw but in their presence in Somalia we wish their defeat and that is why we may call it good news.

They killed innocent Ethiopians in Addis Ababa and other places of Ethiopia, and now they are paying it in Mogadisho. That is the price of tyranny.

Whoever national or ethnic group(Amhara, Tigrian or Oromo) sent to the wrong mission, they shouldnt be characterized as they were send at their own will. Therefore, they should not deserve to be treated as enemy. After all we are Ethiopia’children. In fact all Somalians (and Africans for that matter are Ethiopians as Ethiopians are Africans). So why some commentary writers treated those in the line of duty (whether that mission is wrong or Right)characterize them as “Weyane’s Soldiers” ?? By the way, did any one heard who say that an American Solder presently serve in Iraq is the soldier of the Republican Party or the American Republic? Surely no one will tell even from those who hate George Bush. For how long we hear not the truth????

I don’t think any one of you people accusing him of many things “Love” the Weyane soldiers any more than he does. But, when the Weyane soldiers are being misused and abused to serve the “Golden goose”, they are a fare game by the Somali victims. It simply is “Double standard” ala Americana when the Somali people or Ogadeni people or Oromo people die, it is business as usual, but when the Weyane troops fell to the same fate as the poor Somalis, Ogadenis etc, all our “Human” charade activities sound their alarmist horn. We have to be fair and square and call for the immediate withdrawal of the Weyane occupying army whether be it in Somalia or anywhere else its inching feet leads it. If we continue to expect double standard, we are in effect prolonging the misery of all of us.

We shed no tears for the fallen mercenaries, but we will rather ululate with joy and celebrate the death of barbaric occupiers of Somalia who are willing to kill even their own family members if paid the right amount of money.

Woyanne soldiers will keep dying like this on a daily basis, there is more bad news for Woyanne in the offing, the Somali Opposition is uniting more and more under the one political umbrella and that will spell more death and defeat for Woyanne’s military in Somalia, now Melles is stuck, he needs more and more troops in Somalia, the ONLF is giviing him a bloody nose at every turn, the OLF is arming and recruiting thousands and thousands of freedom fighters to start what will the most devastatin to Woyanne troops. Add to that the already established and deadly EPPF armed wing in alliance with the Sidama Liberation Army and Debub Hizboch and also the true Tigrayan freedom fighters TPDM, Woyanne will die by a thousand cuts, this time there will not be a London power sharing conference, the Ethiopian Opposition Groups will agree to establish an independent government free from outside dictates and form their government and create a united, free and prosperous Ethiopia.
They won’t have to worry about being invaded by anyone because Eritrea will make sure Sudan will not mess with the newly independent Ethiopia, Somalia will be controlled by trully partiotic Somalis that are now fighting to free their country from Woyanne occupation. This is the time to support the Ethiopian Opposition and stop ranting about BS democracy that is imported and sponsored by western nations. All you need to learn is today’s western democracy didn’t start out of a vacuum by dictat from an outside force, it is a process that took hundreds of years, after they developed their economies and created true freedom. Lets not delude ourselves thinking that imported democracy is going to put food on the table, cure diseases, teach the illiterate and develop an economy, that is achieved by tightening your belt and building your country with your sweat and blood but first you have to fight for your freedom.

To all you dum dums and TPLF parasites,

From the outset, I don’t care much about the title that Elias has chosen; to me the death and destruction of any human being is not good news.

But, it is too late now to be babbling about how the Woyanie soldiers are Ethiopians too BS! You are not convincing anyone, besides this is the same tribal militia from Tigrai, well fed and armed to the teeth with the money begged on our behalf, that killed unarmed men, women and children during the June and November massacres of 2005. Those defenseless children, men and women, mowed down in a broad daylight, near their homes with their parents watching in some cases, were Ethiopians too.

Besides, the all inclusive Ethiopian armed forces as we know it was disbanded after the advent of Woyanie and replaced with a tribal militia from Tigray, loyal only to Meles and the TPLF traitors. How can we call armed thugs that kill innocent civilians in cold blood in a full view of a camera an army? In my vocabulary that is a mercenary outfit and not good for Ethiopia, even after the demise of the TPLF. We will have to debrief, retrain and reorient these thugs if we are going to make decent humans out of these ‘Hodams’. The sad thing is these are the thugs sent by another thug, perpetrating inhuman crimes on behalf of Ethiopia without the support of Ethiopians. Ethiopians from all walks of life absolutely condemn Meles’ adventure in Somalia. Just imagine, what the innocent Somalis in Mogadishu and the other cities must be going through, their villages burned to cinder, their women raped and their children maimed for no apparent reason other than Meles wants to stay in power a little longer, by conning the west that he is fighting terrorists fro them.

And thank God for the few good men and women in Somalia, Meles and the Woyanie mercenaries are getting their cummupins. My hope and prayer is that Ethiopians will learn from the Somalis and start blowing up these good for nothing mercenaries and their boss to smithereens.

Those who are dying in the streets of somalia are our children and brothers. They were snatched out of the hands of the poor mothers and fathers without their desire and will. farmers will be punished if they refuse to give away hteir children to the crime ridden regime of that devil Meles Naziawi.

No single Ethiopian is interested in serving the anti-Ethiopia crimeridden regime as a soldier and go to somalia to fight for tplfwoyanae robbers. Until that fateful day appears to engulf the crimefamily in eternal fire, we must do what we should do to stop the criemfamily from sending our children to somalia to die. Eternal and hellish death to all members of the crimefamily. Many times Amen.

Let us have a logical reasoning.

Woyanie is a cancer (enemy) of Ethiopia.

Any individual serving woyanie in any capacity including as a military personell, security officer, intelegence, under cover, even public office like kebele chairman is a woyanie.

Therefore, all these personells are enemy of Ethiopia.

    Remember you logic 102.

As such, if we are going to have a real liberation army, we are going to fight this Woyanie army, meaning our enemy: Agazi. Death to the Agazis

You see that is the reason why the Ethiopians could not the take the political mantle that has been snatched by the Weyane thugs. You people are too emotional to even think rationally and to know what is good for your country. It does not do anybody any good to state that the dead soldiers are Ethiopian. They are. No body is denyining that. But they are in Somalia killing people like you and me. Whether they were forced into conscription or voluntered to kill Somali innocent people is immaterial. The fact that they are there and doing what they are doing is bad for the victims and it should be bad for you and me. So, anytime some of these soldiers are made incapable of committimg the heineous crime they have been doing is GOOD NEWS to the Somalis and it should also be good for human beings and that includes you and me.

Elias do you try to have a daily, weekly or by weekly record of ethiopian soldiers dead in Somalia conflict. It is history and the Ethiopian people deserve to know the factual records of dead Ethiopian soldiers, TGS soldiers, Transitional government officials, the islamic court fighters and the Somali civilians: children men and women gathered from known international medea sources. This helps the overall toll the war inflicted in all groups and widens our gudgment on the intervention.

As long as one is instrument of the dictatirs, he/she is also accountable together with the regime ! Most of these soldiers are doing the order as a job like a livelihood, at the cost of his brothes and sisters and his nations at all, which can put them to be questioned !
SO It is in deed a good news, let them all vanish in Somlai !

Mr. Elias, you are getting this very wrong. How dare you think this is a good news for us? oh my God!! Are you out of your mind? pleas don’t be sily.

Mr. Elias, I think you are out of touch with the reality in Ethiopia. If you have a brain to think, let me ask you a very simple quistion. Do you think those kids in the militery are joining the army to supporting Meles and his co thugs?? NO NO NO!!! it is the matter of survival forced the kids to join the militery. Belive or not, I am a living witness that those poor kids joined the army haven’t any idea about poltics. They just couldn’t eat ONE meal per day. It is the bitterness of life forced them to join the army.

Mr. Elias, since I am a regular visitor for you blog, I have to give to you a little advise. Pleas do not post any controversial remarks ever, those kids are our brothers, and you should ask a very sincere apology for the families of those kids for your absurd comment. Otherwise, we,the visitors of your blog, are boycotting your web until you are asking an apology.
    My God bless Ethiopia

Any one who shoots down unarmed civilians, invade other countries without any just cause, rape and murder its citizens has no excuse for his/her criminal act. These are the same soldiers who are murdering our brothers and sister in Ethiopia at will like mad dogs. By feeling sorry for these criminals you are being cruel to their victims. May be if they come to your house, rape your sister in front of you and slash her throat, you would feel differently. – Elias

  71. Begashaw Habtu says:

Why is it that none of you mention the loss of innocent civilian lives that are targetted and destroyed by the Woyane force? When Elias condemns the acts of the Woyane soldiers, all of you feel sorry for the loss of lives on the part of the Woyane soldiers, but the fact is thousands of Somali lives are laid to waste in matters they have no knowledge about. And here you cry about the poor Ethiopian soldiers who went to a foreign land to kill people who have not done any harm to them. Think about what you are selfishly saying and make logical arguments. Somalis are defending their land against invaders and they have every right to do that. Isn’t that what we exactly did to the Italian ivaders in our past history? Woyanes are fighting an unjust war in a foreign land in our name and we should stand against that and support the just struggle of the Somali people against aggression and domination by anyone. I really deeply feel sorry for any loss of lives be it Ethiopian or Somali because there is a personal tragedy and a sad story behind every death. Therefore, let us put our energy to end the reign of the Meles regime which is killing everyone, Ethiopians and Somalis included to serve its foriegn masters in order to eat what they throw for him like the dog he is.

    Victroy to Ethiopians and Somalis!
Down with Meles, Woyane and his supporters!
