June 4th, 2008 |  |  43 Comments

BREAKING NEWS

Walta Information Center (WIC) reports that 2 traffic lights have been repaired on Debre Zeit Road in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa today. His Excellency Girma Woldegiorgis, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, has visited the job site to congratulate the workers for a job well done. Each worker who participated in this important project has received “Patriot of Development Award” from his excellency. After the award ceremony, His Excellency President Girma invited managers of the project for lunch at his residence.

[This is to show how the Woyanne-controlled media are desperately reporting every minor activity by government departments to show that the fast decaying regime is doing a good job of governing. Many of the reported activities, however, are lies. Millions of people have nothing to eat. How could things be any worse than this?]

Wey Mealti…..AHUNES ENDEW WEYANE TIRE ARUN EKO ARA….What a real joke again with the endless lie machines of TPLF officials. Two things here, one is TPLF is playing on HODAM girma on assigning him on this kind of minor comedy stuff in the name of president. Secondly I cant believe TPLF doesn’t stop playing on Ethiopian people and they talked about two traffic lights while over 20 million people are severely affected by famine which eventually lead them to die. and the whole county is driven to death and desaster with the cause of high inflation and harrasement of weyane.

Was this worth a headline news? Should that be some routine activity of a municipality or locality or government as the case may be? Good grief, one would have dismised these Weyanes bandits as some clowns of clowns if they weren’t so deadly stupid!

“President” Weldegiorgis, why are you so concerned with only two traffic lights to be fixed when a local “Kebele like Menber”could have been represented for such miner celebrations? Haven’t you heard that the sovereignty of mother Ethiopia is in auction? This is shame to a person who claims to lead such a great country and people! Unfortunately Thanks to people like you our country has become to be a symbol of poverty, diseases and misery.
I as Ethiopian am ashamed to be represented by such a “President”?

That is the only two things (two traffic lights) that the Woyanne people can do for the citizens of Debrezeit because most of the technicians are working hard day and night at Mekelle for the Independence Day of Abay Tigray, and they have been working there for 17 years. Still they are not done yet building two magnificent palaces for Meles Zenawi and Azeb Mesfin at Mekelle city.

    Dear Thomas H. #24,

The next stage you have to do is to build an imposing stadium and to work hard to have the next Olympic Game to be held in Tigray Abay!

You can also build the greatest Roman-like Coliseum in Tigray Abay to entertain the Meles family and his political gangsters and put some lions and tigers there and watch the lions and the tigers fight with some Oromo and Amhara prisoners, and I’m sure the Woyanne people would like to watch every Sunday this gladiatorial game.

TPLF should be commended for that because they are only capable of changing traffic lights. They spent 15+ years in chaka where there are no lights and spent the last 17 years learning how to change lights.

We don`t have any problem to build modern Tigray, but our main concern will be what to do with refugees from other regions.Even now we are tired of the Eritrean refugees and we are forced to organize skin head group to discourage the Eritrean immigrants from coming in to Tigray.

  43. Assta B. Gettu says:

    Dear Thomas H.,

The Tigray people, not the Eritreans, have been migrants throughout the Ethiopian history (Example, the Agamie); they have migrated to Wolkait, to Tegedie, to Telelo, and to Thelemt. Still they are migrating to Gojam, and like migratory locusts, they are covering the entire regions of Ethiopia. In fact, one cannot leave any region, any town, any city, big or small in Ethiopia without meeting a Tigray person; Tigreans are ubiquitous. The fundamental reason they migrate every year to another territory is that Tigray is a rocky place, a dead land, and it is like the Dead Sea. The people of Tigray are desperate to leave their country, and they are leaving in a great number even though Meles Zenawi has tried to keep them there by providing them anything they want – land, housing, school, hospital, airport, factories – they still want to leave their country.
