Court tells Teddy Afro to return to filthy jail till next month

June 4th, 2008 |  |  19 Comments

Popular Ethiopian singer Teddy Afro is ordered to come back to court in one month again because the prosecutor did not bring with him supporting evidences for some of his allegations at the hearing that was held in Addis Ababa today. When the defense argued that if the prosecutor doesn’t have evidence, the court should dismiss the case, the judge told him to sit down and shut up. Ofcourse, what else did you expect, Tedy is in till God gets him out, but the good part is that Tedy is still doing a great job by exposing the woyannes through his stressed popularity,

Why did teddy Afero went back to addis while he fully knew that meles is out there to get him? After his song that depicted meles as the new emperor, everybody knew it was a matter of time before they throw him in jail …but tedi lured by mighty birr kept going back to addis ,…even singing in the so called millenium festival…so sometimes greed could get you in trouble..
I hope neway debebe joins him in prison too….those who are so hungry for birr ignored the people’s call and kept going back to addis to lick meles’s ass…Aster number one hooker…ephrem and solomon tekalegne..u see those are people with hunger for money who turn blind eye for what happened to ethiopias…look neway debebe first he acted like ethiopian patriot thinking meles was about to fall, then when he realized that was not happening ..the greed started to kick in and now he is in addis exploring bussiness apportunities…and talking to people that Addis is the new “dubai”….those are all fuckers and sometimes I like it when they tatse their own medicine…

  11. Mekonnen says:

I met Teddy about two years ago in one of the European capitals.

He was on tour and literally all Ethiopians, lets say from the 14 teklaye gezate came to see him perform outstandingly. No doubt he is genius, humble and a young dynamic man who would like to promote peace and love in Ethiopia.

I said, “Teddy I have a gift for you, a cross from your country, a Lallibela golden cross, an Ethiopian cross!” He looked at it with fascination and asked me to put the necklace for him. And told me he can’t wait to go back to Ethiopia.

Teddy is smart; he knew that his inspiration comes from the misery and oppression of Ethiopia. His message is about hell, Ethiopia and not about the paradise of Europe or America.

I told him to be careful, because some people were told me that the dogs were preparing for a long time to frame him on a fabricated false accusation.

They succeeded and he is languishing in that filthy prison now. How long is going to last this stupid circus? Ask Melese, Bereket, Sebehat-Nega, etc. the Evils of Ethiopia.

  14. Taye says:

I don’t know if anyone of you remember Fela Kuti and all other great African musicians who were imprisoned by dictators and colonizers just because they spoke their minds and exposed the brutality of those in power. Tedy is one of them, his lyrics and his music will always reminds us the brutality of the Meles EPRDF dictatorship, how dirty and brutal they are, he is an icon of the new generation, a freedom fighter like Hugh Masakella whose music contributed for the apartheid government in South Africa to fall.
The imprisonment of such icons like Tedy will certainly stir a revolution in the minds of young Ethiopians with in Ethiopia. The young generation is the power to bring down the Meles/Bereket regime.

Look ppl in all fairness there is no point in accusing anyone for teddy being arrested..if he did hit that girl then he does deserve to serve time just as everybody else who commits a crime…if on the other he is clean then he has the right to walk away…one thing i suggest though is that you hold your judgements until all the facts are released …and what makes you so sure that he didnt hit the gurl? now i m not saying teddy is guilty …but just because he is a star it doesnt mean he cant commit or crime…or even worse walk away with one…and one final comment get your facts right…the current governement hosts some of the respected scholars…our prime minister F.Y.I has a strong academic background…with degrees from reknown universtities such as OPEN university alll of this could help us progress only is people like yourselves would let him….it just makes me mad when someone out of nowhere blames the current govt for their own personal problems…if you look back at the past regime..we have witnessed key shibir and all kinds of torture…its all about relativity and you should be grateful that none of those things are in practice presently…anyways lets focus on unity ppl..

  18. Faith says:

I truly hope that truth will prevail soon enough; Teddy Afro does not deserve this. I admire his courage and confrontation toward facing the obstacles he did in Ethiopia, but it teaches you that nothing and no one will ever keep you away from the country of your indigenous. More power to Teddy and may God be with him always!!! I am sure his fate and believe will tackle all the horrific ordeals he went through and the truth will come out… Be strong and have faith Teddy, all who stands for the truth will pray for you!!!!
