Like it or not, the EPRDF and Melese Zenawi’s leadership is succeding in all fronts.

Most of yous, from the comfort of your hiding in the Western world sound nostalgic about what you had missed and your lost chances of baring fruit in your original country.
Ethiopia planted 700 million trees last year, Ethiopia just in the Amhara region have education grew from a mere 19% to over 94%. We have 23 State Universities today, compared to 1 when EPRDF removed your derg.
I am afraid to touch this one, the financial system in my poor Ethiopia is more intact than today’s California or Illinois, God help us here in the US.
Ethiopia and Sudan are working out all infrequent disturbances along the border peacefully and cooperation is better than ever.
Ethiopia will do anything to help the brotherly nation of Sudan to help stabilize the Horn as a whole.

Wake up falks, if you can’t do anything positive to help the situation, do not fabricate lies, SHUT UP and get fed at your refuge.

I will always choose to be loyal to my country and its people and government, because I am an Ethiopian, and proud.

In my view this is nothing more than a move of desperation by a desperate regime. I just hope the diaspora Ethiopians educate themselves well in the real politik of the Horn of Africa and allign yourselves with the forces of justice and freedom.

However, I do not agree with the conclusion of the writer “asking and praying to convince Melese to stop the secret deal”. Melese Zenawi knows what he is doing and day and night praying will not make him change his mind and I am not at all sure why the writer did not give any attempt to describe the population distribution on that part of Ethiopia historically and up to the present.

We all know TPLF has settled many Tigrayans and put large part of Gonder under so called “‘Tigray State” after it controlled Ethiopia. There was also a movement called “Kefagne” born on that region and other movements challenging the regime. We also heard on VOA recently that people are revolting against Sudan and TPLF soldiers and discussing about land without its people is not right.

I hope the writer will educate us on future piece about the human factor until then I will pray for those brave Ethiopians who are now battling TPLF and Sudan and help them out here by exposing this secret deal, raising fund for the displaced Ethiopians and encourage Ethiopians to join the battle to reclaim our land.
