Bereket Simon denies Sudanese claim of cross-border attacks

July 9th, 2008 |  |  16 Comments

ADDIS ABABA (AFP) — The Meles dictatorship in Ethiopia on Wednesday denied Sudanese accusations it had launched a cross-border attack against a police base killing 19 people.

“This simply isn’t true,” Prime Minister the fascist dictator Meles Zenawi’s spokesman, Bereket Simon, told AFP.

On Tuesday, Sudan’s army spokesman claimed Ethiopian forces had attacked a police base 17 kilometres (11 miles) inside Sudanese territory, killing 19 people, including one police officer.

“It is a very long border between the two countries, lots of people cross the border, sometimes minor incidents between locals can happen,” the propaganda chief said.

The Sudanese army spokesman provided no reason for the attack in the Jabal Hantub area of Gedaref state, which lies on the northern part of the long international border.

Bereket said both countries enjoyed good relations. “We maintain good neighbourliness. We don’t know why they are accusing us,” he said.

Here you go they said….” YABON SILET YEBELA RASU YASLEFELFEWAL”
Finally, Bereket on his last statement clearly indicated and assured that both countries enjoyed good relationship. However, he did not mention the reason why both countries are enjoying even though it is fairly clear for everyone. Yes as Berket said both countries are enjoying because the Sudanese government is enjoying since they got the land given from meles seytanawi and at the same time Meles and his idiot tplf members and supporters are enjoying since they gave away the Ethiopian land to Sudan. Bereket would’ve also mention what would be their next tplf strategy on giving other parts of Ethiopian land to various neighborhood countries.

Bereket born from an Eritrean mother and father and pretends to be ethiopian is nothing but meles stooge who would jump to any height to please his master meles zenawi- by the way do you guys know that the member of parliament that defeated Bereket Simon was forced to leave the country? And, on sham re-run who won his current seat! How on earth can he proudly sit on a chair that was stolen? This guys don’t have any morality left in their blood! Look now what he said about Sudan “Bereket said both countries enjoyed good relations. “We maintain good neighbourliness. We don’t know why they are accusing us,” he said”…we dont know why they are accusing us:-) hahhaha mognehen feleg…you are just provoking a tension to divert people’s agenda….like shabel’s song-Gonder Sudan geba -hone gorebeit: I think the wholesale of land to sudan will be th end of meles’ era! What we will see is deliberate heightening of tension between the two countries and fabricate things to divert attention and auusre their stay in power!!!
And, another fabricate story is Djubuti increasing tarif? why now? why would djubuti do that while it needs meles’ help to defend it from the supposed threst from shabia?
The problem with djubuti is that it doen’t even have soverghty over the port as it is been managed by Dubai company and the company is guided by market forces not geo-politics!
This year we will witness the total anarchy of the horn-weyane -eritrea war is just on the brink–somalian fighters are determined a sever- and internal ethiopian opposition will reach new levels…weyanes will be emroiled in intension from all directions!

  8. Medhanit says:

Please post this poem by “anonymous Ethiopian”, which I kept in my files from long ago, to be released whenever this brutal man opens his mouth in the press which only serves tyranny!

    It reads as follows:

    “Ergiman” “Ergimat” or “Bereket” ?
Your parents genuinely gave the name “Bereket”?
They didn’t see evil in you the “Aganent”
When you were “ergum”, the cursed boy in fact
Let us strait the wrong to be corrected right
Go to your lawyer and ask for files to submit
    For a name change –
Which fits, as you are “Shaebiat?”

Is murdering school children a “Bereket”?
Or slaughtering people in day light?
Why not we change your name to-
    Assasin, or cold blooded bandit?
The second hit man of Ethiopia to say the least

The blood you spilled starting in the jungles
    Then Amharas, Oromos,the Anuaks
    The Sidamas,Gurages,Somalians
The Welaitas, and all other ethnic groups
The slaughter of school children –
    and University students
    The deliberate murder of –
    Christians and Muslim brothers
    The army members -
who genuinely fought for all Ethiopians
The looting of a country by some sworn enemies
Who sold their “Mother land” -
    to the deadliest foes
While the true defendants languish in prisons,
Is that not enough to change your wrong names?
    Not “Bereket” -
    but “Shaebia’s adviser for Ethiopia”
Or your boss we name –
    “Enemy’s prime monster for Ethiopia”?

You are there for our lack of unity
    Which you implanted deliberately
You are there by spreading animosity
    Deceiving the world powers “skillfully”?
With all efforts to vain –
    Ethiopia shall live eternally!
    With her children united -
    as history showed truly!
And so Mr. Foreigner – “Bereket”
Let us call you “Ergiman” or better “Ergimat”?
Before you go to Hell –
or Hague, to meet your fate
Ethiopia will prevail and comeback triumphant!

  14. HA says:

This proves once again that Ethiopia is ruled by a bunch of lawless gangsters. The TPLF gang cannot be trusted by anyone, neither by its people, by the Sudanese, by the Somalis nor by the Eritreans. Nedless to say, the PLF gang is loyal only to its American masters because the gang would not be able to exist a single week without US support. Now all concerned countries in the horn of Africa must cooperate to get rid of this cancerous gang once and for all.

I truly would like to apologize , to the peace loving Ethiopian people , that I never hated the Ethiopian people.
I was a shaibiya sympathizer. I thought , things would be better,at least under woyane, I honestly just want to apologize to the people as I feel deep sorrow.Ethiopian/Abysiniyan history is the story of tigray
eritrea & goes beyond the new Ethiopian “map.”We are destroying our own history.I do not represent anyone apart from my self. And I am truly from Eritrea.I pray for Eritrea &Ethiopia. It seems the “cure was worst than the disease.

    God bless us all !!!
