The Woyanne-installed fake patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, Aba Gebremedhin (formerly Abune Paulos) has sent out a directive to 200 churches in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa ordering them to buy 200,000 birr worth of government bonds each to help pay for the recently announced Nile River dam project. Except for some gullible individuals, most Ethiopians believe that Meles Zenawi came up with the plan to build dam along the Nile River in order to divert attention from the mounting domestic problems. Another politically motivated project, the Tekeze River dam, was built at the cost of over $350 million, and inaugurated almost 2 years ago, but it has not yet started producing power.

Woyannes flagrant behaviour knows no bounds, this is unseemly, asking churches to give money the junta under the guise of “government bonds” is unheard of. As for the Tekeze dam, it was designed as an insurance policy for the future Repulic of Tigray, unfortunately it is nothing more than an albatross on the neck of Ethiopian people, it was built without proper study in the middle of an area with poor infrastructure and the interest on the money borrowed from western financiers was designed to bankrupt Ethiopia in the long run.
This so called millenium dam is nothing more than a political ploy to pacify Ethiopians at this very moment when people are eagerly anticipating the upcoming May popular uprising. Ethiopians should start guarding Woyanne officials to stop them from transporting money and gold to Sudan, Kenya or Djibouti now.

How can a church, which is a tax exempt organization is engaged in money making enterprise???
