Are political factions and business enterprises the problems Ethiopia faces? Well, TPLF And EFFORT are just that, respectively. According to both Fikre Tolossa and Messay Kebede, two of the contemporary scholars on matters concerning the country, TPLF was the child of “Elite” Tigrians who devised it to combat Amhara rule even though Meles brought the rag tag/grass roots to invade the country. It took the waywardness, sinfulness and stupidity of the living generation plus TPLF, EPLF/ELF, the free-flowing cash of Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, Gaddafi’s Libya, their local surrogates, and the false figures (decoys) both in the state and the church to bring the country down. So TPLF is among many political or business players who has had more success in the later than the former.
