(APA) ADDIS ABABA — Ethiopia Bonehead Woyannes on Wednesday rejected FIFA’s roadmap, introduced to resolve the dispute gripping the management of Ethiopian football, APA learns here.
Accordingly, the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) said that the general assembly of the federation is the only legal body to pass any decision regarding the Ethiopian football management, including electing a new president for the federation.
FIFA has suspended Ethiopia from any international competition in July 2008 following the appointment of a new president by the EFF.
FIFA rejected the appointment of EFF’s new president and other administrative staff, which it says is illegal and unacceptable.
However, the federation, which holds an emergency meeting on the issue on Wednesday said in its resolution that FIFA’s roadmap, which demands the return of the former president is unacceptable.
EFF also asked FIFA to lift its suspension and allow Ethiopia to participate in the ongoing African Nations Cup and World Cup qualifiers.
“Both FIFA and CAF are not on the right way regarding the Ethiopian football situation. We ask them to reconsider their decision and follow fair and legal means,” EFF said. “The current management was elected legally and is the only legal body of the federation.”
It is to be recalled that last week, FIFA banned the second game of Ethiopia against Morocco as part of its suspension.
Ethiopia will remain barred from participating in any game, including the on-going World Cup and African Nations Cup qualifiers.

I do not think these individuals are interested to play by the rule.
They are the product of weyane's culture of lawlessness. I really hope Fifa will show these stubborn individuals that who is really in charge here by banning them from football world until they apologies. I hope Fifa will reinstate Ethiopia’s football federation into the football world very soon.

Woyane has nothing to do with the football crisis/mess. If you followed the story, it is the clubs who unanimously agreed not to accept FIFA's Road map as a one sided judgement in favor of forer EFF president Dr. Ashebir W/Giorgis. The problem has been going on for the last few years. The govt. has been very neutral in this issue, ordering the involved parties(teams) to resolve their problems.
We can blame woyane for so many things. As for the football, it is all about the power struggle between Dr. Ashber and Kasahun Teka on one side the teams, the fans and everybody else on the other. If you want more on this thing I will be very happy to give more explanation why woyane has nothing to do witht the football Ethiopian football federation's mess.

I donot think there is anything woyanne hand is not on .come on now ,let the national team play and pass through that narrow path to world & african cup games .shame on tplf

#2 above is right. Blame the woyanes for a lot of things but the squabble at the EFF is purely a footballing issue. It seems the people at the EFF(specially the new team) dont seem to understand how FIFa operates(independently of govt interference). They keep crying about national pride and that.

Weyane is planning to replace EFF altogether by TFF. From the out set it will look like the internal struggle will bring down the EFF. Then what? TFF will take over and the headquarter will move to Tigraye. Mystery solved….
