Ethiopian Review server under DDoS attack

Elias Kifle | July 15th, 2012

Ethiopian Review’s server was once again under DDoS attack this morning and both the main and backup server crashed several times. It took us longer time to bring the site back online because the attack was coming from servers in multiple countries. We will keep monitoring the situation closely. We appreciate the emails and phone calls we received from many concerned readers who were unable to access the web site.

Hi Elias, I suspected as much, when I couldn’t access the site, but kept on trying and was about to phone you, when it came back.

I suppose Weyane thugs are everywhere, since Meles has the available funds from the West to pay them for his dirty work.

    Well done, Elias.

We are with you Obo Elias!!! How dare they do that? I hope these worthless thugs will be caught and brought to justice soon. What they did is tantamount to acts of terrorism. Others blow themselves up but these vagabonds are doing it the cyber way. I hope you will catch them Brother Elias soon. In the meanwhile, keep up the good work and you have these faceless Woyanes by their tail with your pincers!!! All you have to do just keep twisting the pincers until they go back to where they came from – Dedebit!!! Right on brother! Right on!!!

Attack from multiple sites is not that difficult. What they usually do is they infect unsuspecting pcs in multiple locations throughout the world. 100 of thousands of them. this are like sleeper cells waiting for a command. Until the command is given this pcs do nothing. The people who infected this pcs then wait until some one pays them to attack certain site. Then they commandeer the infected pcs to lunch an attack from different location.
TPLF actually has no capacity (they are quite dumb) to do this kind of attack. They pay the Chinese to do it for them.

    Elias:

thanks for the hardwork. ER has become a dependable, addictive website. Bravo!

Weyanes use the same technique in paltalk and other websites to frustrate anybody who speaks anything remotely negative about their tyrant. Defeating this is a necessity and you are doing it splendidly. Remember, Weyanes have billions of dollars and professional Chinese technology backing them up. Every time your website withstands the barrage, you should consider it a great victory.

    God bless.
