Dear Obang,

Leave alone with Wahabits, Ethiopians they cannot even make dialogue among themselves. I am affraid, dialogue with Wahabits means Dialogue with Almouldi. Who has the money Obang Metho? You or the Wahabits? It is ridiculoues people condemn Almouldi and join Wahabits? it does not make sense. Almouldi is the secret agent who is financed by the Wahabits King in Saudi Arabia.

Ethiopians are ready to destroy their country blinded by hatred. You know Obang Hatred does not bring good. Evil is evil, no matter who does it. Elias Kifle is jumping everywhere like crazy without thinking the consequences of what will come out at the end. Mere hatred with no ideology, principle, formulation,vision,... will only bring much worse disaster.

I am glad I am not in all these mess. I watch and see what comes. This is an opportune time for Egypt. Yefukukure bet saey zega yadral ybalal. Hating system is one thing, but supporting wahabits is just self-infliction.

I think God has a plan to punish the land. I do believe in this strongly. Meles has been abusing the Ethiopian church, the man above see carefully. Unfortunately, the entire Ethiopia population has to pay the price.

We will see soon Ethiopians banned from Dancing Tigrignea, Oromignea, Amharignea,... this is not a joke. God has plan; the Israelites needed to be punished when they refused or disobeyed God. You know the arch of the covenant is in Ethiopia. God sees carefully. He is patient, prudent. But his wrath does not discriminate; he will apply on the land. This generation is wicked and needs to be punished like the Israelites until they obey God. God uses many instruments to apply his wrath. May be he wanted the Wahabits to do the Job for him. Time is proving me right for what I have been proclaiming for 5 years. I feel more connected with God very much. But my appeal has been rejected by Meles and Cos. Obang, you have been preaching peace, love, reconciliation,... but you see they meted you to be in prison for 18 years? what did you do obang? Obang, you canno really negoiate with wahabits; they do not believe in sharing anything. It has them or not. It is not gona work.

If God still loves us; TPLF will draw a lesson and make a drammatic change by removing Meles immediately. To keep on using the most hated man on power is just not in the interest of the people. Let wait and see what will God do.

I prey God will save these wicked generation of ours.

This an amazing article! I am glad to know there are some people like you with sober minds despite all the suffering and agonizing times the country has been through. I agree WE MUST FOCUS FIRST ON BRINGING A BETTER FUTRE TO THE COUNTRY, and not revenge or punishing the enemy. We have many challenges ahead: the possibility of power struggle within the opposition once TPF falls, poverty, competition in the global economy, rising world population resulting in countries like China and India eying our country and Africa in general, the possibility of a nuclear powered Egypt subduing us, etc. Reconciliation must be given priority whenever possible, provided all groups want to participate in good faith.

Obbo Obang Metho,

It has been part of my daily prayer that this regime which proved to be in the company of present and past dictatorships will fall down sooner or later. What makes Meles regime different from his predecessors is in the fact that he is surrounded by well educated intellectuals who have sold their souls to the devil, so to say. The other reason which has had more weight is the huge amount of donations it has been receiving from the West and East. Do you remember what Herman Cohen said at the London press conference in 1991. “No Democracy, no aid” I wonder what happened to that declaration and assurances. The smart-mouthed 'field intellectuals' were able to woo every donor out there and we have witnessed blank checks in sums of billion flawing in his coffers. And he struck the biggest jackpot in the form of Al-Qaeda and Al-Shabaab. Billions have poured every year since then. These 'intellectuals' have enriched themselves in the process and they have turned into killer beasts to protect their suddenly found riches. And they have proven that in the most deadly ways. Those 200 innocent civilians who were gunned down in 2005 are glaring examples. I am afraid their fate is fading right in front our eyes. I don't think anybody has tried to lodge complaints at the ICC about the killing of those 200 people. What worried most is if this dictator suddenly passes away, as we all know and expect, these greed-gripped lackeys congregated around him will start competing for the big enchilada and in the process will start fighting among themselves. On the other side the way I see it the opposition has been in total disarray and not ready to pitch in. You can tell by the number of the groups who claim to stand against the thug. This possible power vacuum can turn into the most blood-letting political impasse our country has never seen. That is what I am praying and my unshakable faith is in the Almighty. Every group is over-inflated with emotions that any fruitful dialogue will be almost impossible particularly with those so-called nationalist groups. They are all hell-bent and waiting for the right moment to carve out their own fiefdoms with any chance they get. And that will be additional highly flammable fuel tossed onto already smoldering fire. That worries me and worries me a lot. And that is why it is part of my daily prayer. I hope everyone of these groups take your advice and shout-out to their heart and amend their ways so there can be a genuine dialog for enduring peace and harmony among our very diverse people.
As-Salamu Alayka my friend, our friend!!!!
Insha’ Allah!!!!

Thank you Obang Metho for introducing the idea of dialogue and reconciliation.

We can learn much from the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Harms and crimes committed by individuals must be aired in public honestly. This is the first step to reconciliation. The open airing of crimes committed is the basis both for moral and criminal immunity. The healing begins only ones those who have wronged individuals and the society at large confess to their crimes.

Dear mr. Obang Metho:

The danger that may exist when the TPLF system falls is real but I find it worth the risk than to tolerate the status-quo. This is why I strongly rejected professor Mesfin's recent article which unfortunately magnifies the danger to such an extent that it only leads to paralysis.

I think we can avoid the danger the very same way the US and USSR avoided nuclear warfare. That is, by making sure nobody gains from an all out war. By making it apparent that any fight between any parties will lead to mutually assured distraction.

If that is accepted then, it is the responsibility of the media to do the paradoxical thing: that is both undermine the danger if things lead to democracy and at the same time exaggerate out of proportion the danger when some party or group suddenly thinks it can "win" over others. A sort of dangerous balance.
