As little as 100 years ago, the majority of people in Ethiopia did not eat chicken which in many parts of the country was and still is considered a taboo meat on par with pork. Furthermore most urban Ethiopians contrary to their so called traditions are buying the 'Ferenj' doro. This diseased 'foul' meat really should be put out of the reach of people and if that is inadvertantly done by inflation on the price of chicken then so much the better The word ‘traditional’ should be defined before claiming that chicken is ‘traditional’to Ethiopia.
