no one is free until all are free. this is what must be all ethiopian believe.if not and any one thinck like 20 century the situation become worest.i share all what you write and how our people is doing also is very unique specially cooperation on the fact between ethiopian muslim and ethiopian chiristian.I hope as a muslim Allah never let down ethiopian people since the mojority of the people are peace aquaring in histry of the world.thanks

While what Obang writes is good overall, his linking religion with politics is dangerous. Just as political Islam is extremism, political chrisitian is also the same. His training with jesuits might have messed up wth his political ambitions. Many of the words he use seem to come from scriptures and don’t go well with the modern world and politics. His dislike of ethnicity is also wrong footed, whether he likes it or not, his constituency is in Anuak’s who suffered massacres in the hands of, an equally dangerous system of TPLF, which emerges from Adwa and its environs. That is not the reason to condemn ethnicity and what it is capable of, in galvanizing for action or inaction. It is preferable to maintain open mindedness of all contingencies, because there is a valid reason for their existence, whether we like or not.

About his idea on Haliemariam Desalegn, Obang may not know this person well, but in places he governed, H/M maintained deep hatred against peoples, though he pretends to belong to the protestant sect of Hawariat church. E.g. Hundreds were massacred in Hawassa while he presided over the so-called Southern nations…., the name of a direction that has nothing to do with ethnicity.
