Woyanne calls for UN peacekeepers in Somalia

September 30th, 2008 |  |  6 Comments

The Associated Press

UNITED NATIONS: Ethiopia’s Woyanne foreign minister on Monday called for the U.N. to deploy peacekeepers to neighboring Somalia, where Islamic militants appear to be gaining strength.

Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin’s comments came just days after an attack on an African Union peacekeepers’ base in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, killed at least 11 civilians.

Mesfin urged the U.N. Security Council to deploy a peacekeeping mission “as soon as possible,” or provide resources to strengthen the current AU mission, which includes about 2,600 peacekeepers.

He praised the AU peacekeepers from Uganda and Burundi, who arrived in Somalia last year.

“It is never too late for others to follow their example,” Mesfin told world leaders during his speech to the U.N. General Assembly.

Ethiopia Woyanne, whose troops helped push the Islamists from the Somali capital in December 2006, says that it wants to withdraw.

A U.N. peacekeeping force including American troops met disaster in Somalia in 1993, when militiamen shot down two U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopters and battled U.S. troops, killing 18. The battle was recounted in the book and movie “Black Hawk Down.”

  5. Eritrawi says:

Woyanne bosses are begging their masters to get them out of the quagmire in Somalia, what the so called free western media is not telling the whole world is that Woyanne has so far lost over 10,000 soldiers and millions of dollars worth of equipment and supplies in Somalia and can’t take the losses anymore but a slave can’t tell his master to do things for him, Woyanne is stuck, there is no African country that is willing to send their soldiers to die in the meat grinder in Mogadishu, the idiot Yuweri Museveni is having sleepless nights because his soldiers are getting hammered day and night and worse psychologically terrorized by the freedom fighters of ARS. What started out as a “brilliant” military intervention in Somalia has turned into a nightmare. When Woyanne troops invaded Somalia on behalf of their masters president Isaias Afewerki said that they are getting into a quagmire that they will be able to handle and now less than two years it has come to pass. In the 21st centrury you can’t invade a country in broad day light and expect submission from the people, the gallant Somalis fought back and now the freedom fighters control over 90% of the country, Woyanne’s and Museveni’s mercenaries are trapped in Mogadishu and hoping their nightmare will end but it won’t short of running out in disgrace. The Somali’s will prevail and be free while Woyanne and other tyrannical regimes will start to contract and get smaller and smaller in due time.

course we will have few martyrs…
    (ARS controls 90% of Somalia.
    Meles: Help… somebody… anybody… USA,UN, AU
