I am sure that the Ethiopian highlanders are unquestionably Jewish. It is just centuries of pressure and forced conversion has made it difficult to live Jewish life style. Some accept christianity on top of Judaism, this does not mean they christians. They were Jewish befoire they are christians, and deep in their heart they do believe they are descendents of the earlie Jewish wonderers who came to the location, and following queen of Shaba, sent by King Solomon. Surprisingly, my grand father prays just like Jews noding his head back and forth when reciting King David's prayers, and he does it everyday. Although his grand father was the first to convert, but he made sure his son know the truth of his background and his grandson (my grand father) was also told his background and he told me what my background is. Although, my father is not a practicing Jew, and I am not a practicing Jew, but I have a large space reserved in my heart for Judaism. Unconsciencely, I find myself defending anything to do with Jewish and Judaism. I also find myself observing Sabath, unknowingly. I think Judaism is not lifestyle or practice or telling some one you are Jewish, it is deeper than that it has a lot to do with soul that we each possess, which dictates our thinking and daily judgements.
