I can’t express my feeling!! Thank you Dr Ermias and I wish you a sparkling success in your future life saving work. The reason for the death of almost for all Ethiopians in US is explained as Cancer and I think they might have been saved if they were treated by their own doctor who can easily diagnose all tropical diseases.

This is not uncommon form of TB in Ethiopia. Two years ago, I took a friend to Paulos hospital. He had abdominal pain; weight lose and very poor appetite. The surgeon, Dr. Ayelegn Tsehay, right after some physical examination told us that it could be a cancerous tumor or an intestinal TB….save HIV as a possible cause of many complications. The laboratory test confirmed that it was TB. Dr Ayelegn removed the “ball” of TB and gave him anti-TB medication. Now my friend is back on his feet and healthy as ever before.

Excellent job Dr. Ermias!
As a physician trained and worked for sometime in Ethiopia, I am not amazed at the peculiar presentation of TB in this patient but Dr. Ermias needs the applause for using his instincts to think of TB in the setting quite different from what we see in developing diagnosis. We are all proud of you!

I am so proud of you that you saved your poor Ethiopian sister who immigrated from far of Africa.

I hope American Drs. learn from this good example to treat their patiens thinking beyond more common routine disease cases.
