I would like to ask, what each and every one of you have commented could have done for Ethiopia were you to step in power. But as for me I don't like to even think about political power for even a second, because I am sorry to see its poor kids with their pig heads not listening to each other. I am interested to see what Ms. Mideksa could do with all her funs overseas. I hope she would bring them back home, make them work for Ethiopia, so easy as it is to attract those who fled the country in search of a better life.

In the past years, I have been studing Ethiopiansts attitude toward others who don't accept their nonsense ideology.

Therefore, you will fail with such bad and backward politics. Those who dream to lead the poorest country of the world under Amhara dominant like the passed event; learn from history you will never again.

Real unity is by the will of everyone not due to interest of minority.

Yes, I did too watched the monotone and disgusting TV interview of Ato Melees by foreign journalist and some handpicked TPLF journalists. Melees answered the entire question arrogantly as if he had the solution to all problems in Ethiopia. The self-appointed Messiah of Ethiopia, ato Melees in reality exposed himself as a stupid big player who does not give a damn about human right abuse, crash his political opponents at all coasts and his bluff positive economical statistics.
When BBC asked him about Mrs.Burtukan who is one of the most popular political opponents, he shamelessly referred her as “this lady. “ The kangaroo court of the TPLF detained Mrs. Burtukan with no credible legal right. After all the judiciary of Ethiopia is at this time is well designed to fit the strategy of the TPLF thugs so that they could carry on their iron fist rule against the will of the non-Togray citizens of Ethiopia.
As usually the interview of Melees is “un empty barrel makes a big noise “

I don't believe looking to the eye of your interviewwer is a sign of intelegence. there are people of high caliber professionals, scientists etc, who don't like to look to your eye. That doesn't mean that they are not smart. Infact this the area where we ethiopians are least understood by foreigners.

But it is clear from the interview thatMeles didn't understand economics as he claims. he wants to fight inflation from aggregate demnd side only. He doesn't have aclue that supply side also plays half of the role. Ethiopia's high food prices are mainly caused by shortage of agricultural production, which by itself is a result of Meles's communist land policy. The woyane government can not be reformed. The leaders have no capacity to learn and they need to be removed from power for Ethiopia to develop.

I agree with the writer in many ways as clearly mentioned the failer of the TPLF regiom in all corners of Ethiopia. Meles is no good let alone for all Ethiopians but als to the Tigray people. He is a disaster and certainly he is no good to Ethiopia as Afewerki is no good to Eritrea.
I do want some points on some of the remarks the writer made. It is true a lot of Weyane fighters (from Tigray) have died in Eritrean soil as a lot of EPLF fighters (Eritrean) died in Ethiopian soil till the last minute. It was done for a good cause and it was aimed at distroying the commen enemy (Derg). Lets face it Derg was no good for Ethiopia either. Some minority from Amhara might have support him but the truth is even the Amahar people were victims of the Derg. The sad end of all is even te ones who claimed to fought for peaceful and democratization have failed us both in Ethiopia and Eritrea. I think what would be best is for Ethiopians to focus on their own problems and try to solve it look forward to a better future. That can only be done by uniting without underming each other.

The fact that it seems that Weyane dehumanizes Birtukan and even the imprisonment is tactical and temporary. I suppose she has been working as an undercover, in fact with her group. Let us think twice before we regret. She might be promised Lt. Girma's presidency seat.

I hate Meles with passion. But come on let us be frank. The man can talk and he is smart. I still have to see any body from our politicians match his interview skills.
Thank You ER

The length of the interview is not that much important but the main point of the interview is.

The reason that the camera and the audience scare Meles Seitanawi (Zenawi) is, perhaps, that he is afaram (shy), but a person though intelligent can be afaram because of his/her upbringing or culture; however, Meles is not an intelligent person, and his impediments in delivering an effective speech or in answering the reporters’ direct questions honestly are his dishonesty, lies, mischief, theft, and hidden evil agendas. These are his burdens that confront him wherever he goes, and wherever he speaks to a big or small audience. To overcome his weaknesses and become an effective speaker or leader, he has to admit he has misled the Ethiopian people for almost two decays by covering up the multitude of crimes he has committed against his own people.

He knows for sure the number of casualties in both the Ethiopians’ and the Somalians’ sides when he intentionally invaded the Somalis in order to please Washington, but he refused to answer the question, and he may have the right to totally evade the right questions, but for how long will he continue to avoid those legitimate questions?

Meles is very fortunate that he has come to power without proving himself that he is an effective debater and a persuasive politician like Barak Obama, so we cannot expect much from him during those interviews.

We can hardly compare him with Governor Sarah Palin; we may hate her or love her, she has a quality as a maverick and a hockey mom and has been an inspirational figure for many Americans while Meles remains as a hated dictator and a frightening image that one abhors to look at. Sarah Palin may not be smart but not as dumb as Meles; she governs only 683, 478 people while he is the ruler of 80 million Ethiopians, and his ignorance to lead such magnitude of people does not bother him at all whether he answers the reporters’ legitimate questions about the economic conditions of his country or not.

In the interview the author of the article says that Meles has never mentioned Birtukan Mideksa by her name; we should not be surprised why Meles refuses to mention such a prominent political figure by her name because he knows that one day she is going to be the leader of the Ethiopian people while he is languishing in the Kaliti jail. For example, John McCain knew that Barack Obama would win the election and in one of those presidential debates, we remember that McCain, out of desperation, refused to call Obama by his name; instead he called him “that man.”

The author of the article says: “Follow up questions are not allowed….” However, when it comes to stealing the Ethiopian money, Meles does not hesitate to follow up his habits of stealing any donated money to the Ethiopian children, but we see him disappointing the reporters for not answering questions directed to him; he simply turns them down by giving them fussy answers. How sad it is to see such a dying worm crawling on the back of Each Ethiopian man and woman and sucking their bloods to survive!
