February 26th, 2009 |  |  7 Comments

An Ethiopian judge from south Gondar region of Ethiopia, Ato Abuye Ayalew, has joined the Ethiopian People’s Patriotic Front (EPPF) earlier this month, according to EPPF sources.

While he was still in Ethiopia working as a judge, Abuye Ayalw had been assisting EPPF by performing various organizational works.

Judge Abuye Ayalew will give a televised interview shortly, which will be posted on EPPF’s web site: www.eppfonline.org

I am not quite sure why by now, Ginbot 7 and EPPF are not joining hands and issue at the very minimum a manifesto of an intent to unify. Let the dialoge for the specifics continue.
The intent for unification is uncomfrtable news for the other side.

it’s time that G7 joined EPPF and fight for ethiopia, we all know that G7 did not have fighting men and women on the ground, but EPPF is fighting right now in this minute while i am writing this, therefore G7 should joine EPPF. we are with you EPPF, and we always will be with you, as long your main aim is to fight for ethiopia and ethiopian people unity, justice, democracy and equality for all.

  5. Tazabi says:

I think both G7 and EPPF should take extra caution and time before taking steps toward unification or any other form of grouping. Think about all forms of fronts/unions/coalitions back from EMALEDIH up until kinijit/Hibret and AFD. What led them all to failure? What do we learn from past mistakes? In an armed struggle, trust is a key factor to form political associations. Do they trust to each other?
Unity is strength -True. But let both groups build their power and strengthen their structure to the point where the struggle can not be reversed because of an eventual storm in the next alliance.
About a year ago, four armed groups, including eppf, formed a union and so far looks is working. All are doing their part on the ground. G7 may want to do the same (take the AK47 and TAKE THE POLITICAL RISK THAT THE OTHERS ARE TAKING) and when they all reach to a reasonably comfortable level of trust then they can form the coalition.
This is also valid for the EPRP folks. They say they are for all inclusive form of struggle just like G7. Again TRUST is the key element.Remember when you pick up the klash, walk through the jungle and look for a friend for help, there are two names that ppl will give you.One is TEBENJA NEKASH and the other is some body’s agent. Are you willing to take these two political risk?

Unity and democracy are sacred causes to fight for

    Viva Ethiopia.

Not only Ginbot 7 and EPPF but all the other opposition parties should come to terms and join hands and fight the butcher of our innocent people. We are all aware that Woyanes are attacking strong educated and talented men and women Ethiopians and destroying them; how long you opposition party leaders going to wait to take action? The time to act is now, before Meles killed all our young men and women and totally sells our country to the highest foreign bidders. It is beyond me why all these different opposition parties waiting for, it is urgent for you guys to come together and take strong decisive action against this killer Meles. If Meles has not caused you to come together and fight by now, I am doubtful that some of these opposition parties are not for real and I am even getting suspicious that evil genius Meles might be running some of these opposition parties to fool all of us.
