ONLF killed 24 Woyanne soldiers in eastern Ethiopia

March 8th, 2009 |  |  5 Comments

(AFP) – The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) claimed it killed 24 Ethiopian Woyanne soldiers in the Ogaden’s eastern region of Degah Bur and added that the fighting was ongoing.

“24 Woyanne troops have been killed in this latest round of fighting since March 4, with dozens wounded,” it said in a statement.

The ONLF said the troops it was combating had recently been redeployed inside Ethiopia from southern Somalia, where they were part of the occupation forces the Woyanne regime finished withdrawing earlier this year.

It also said it captured an army weapons depot near Degah Bur.

The Woyanne military denied the ONLF’s claim and insisted it was not involved in fighting in that region.

“It is not true. We have seen what they said, but according to the information we got from Somali region officials, there is fighting between local people and their militias and local terrorists,” state secretary for information Ermias Legesse told AFP.

“Among these terrorists, one leader and two members of the ONLF have been killed by the militias. The Ethiopian Woyanne army is not involved,” he added.

Look man, yes Meles is the worst dictator in Ethiopian history, but at the same time Ethiopia can not sit and watch while all these separatist groups like ONLF, OLF trying to dismantle Ethiopia. We need to be alarmed when a single ethnic group fights to liberate only their ethnic group. We should support a political party that consists of all ethnic Ethiopians and fight to liberate all of us from these killer woyanes. We have seen what happens when a single party like TPLF fights to liberate only their ethnic group and ignore the rest of Ethiopia.

The West’s hand is full now. Once Sudan disintegrates, and Somali land recognized as a state, those two regions of Ethiopia question will be answered. Weak Ethiopia can’t any more keep itself as one empire. Oromia, Amhara and Tigre will fight to the end for territory, but at the end, under UN supervision/guidance, all regions create their own state.

What will be the fate of Addis, a capital for all? It may stay for a while as neutral for Amharas and Orromos per consensus. But eventually, it will incorporate into Oromia because of the demography in the vicinity.

This is a good news for the Ethiopian people. this alone shows that we Ethiopian people have come to an understanding of the only way that we can get our country is through Gun and GUN only. good news from ONLF and keep it up. EPPF also doing fantastically well, OLF also doing good TPDM also doing outstanding work, all the other Ethiopian defenders are doing well.

This is also shows us all we are going after that criminal ‘the individual’ (Meles Zenawi). The next step is all the fighters to attack this criminals at the same time, from north to the south, from east to the west, and meet at the central point after removing this criminals.

I hope it is only the beginning of more defeats of the woyane army and the eventual downfall of Meles’s regime.
