May 11th, 2009 |  |  4 Comments

Addis Neger, a local Amharic language newspaper in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa reports that a former judge who is currently prominent lawyer is among 40 people jailed after being accused of plotting to assassinate Ethiopia’s dictator Meles Zenawi and other high ranking Woyanne regime officials.

Goshyirad Tsegaw, who along with Birtukan Mideksa has presided over a high-profile case of the former Defense Minster and top ranking Woyanne official, Siye Abrah, was arrested on April 24, according to Addis Neger

Goshyirad got his first degree from the Addis Ababa University in 1999 and started his career working as an Assistant Judge at the Federal First Instance court where he worked for a year. He served for eight more years as a judge in the same court where he came to preside over Siye’s case.

Starting from 2009, he has been practicing law independently and doing his second degree at the Addis Ababa University in Human Rights Law.

    Woyane hatted well educated people.

If you are lawyer or educated people you are no #1 enemy of Woyane. That’s why brain drain. That’s way educated people are forced to leave their country.

If Woyane hated educated people, then Woyane is the enemy of Ethiopia. These people must face international trial for what they committed crime.

The idiotic rule of Weynas continues. Weyana will fall.

We will do it, and we can do it. Let us get busy by chiping at the bottom and the rest will come down tumbling down.

Let us do our part, people!

I am extremeley sad to learn that Goshyirad is one the recent victims of the sensless TPLF. Goshe was born and raised in the town of Dejene in East Gojjam near the Abay Gorge before he joined Addis Ababa University in 1995. Goshe is my personal friend and he is a very nice, honest spiritual, and clever person. It is really a sad moment for his family. I am just sad.

    Tesfaye.

Oh my GOD.. is this news true? Now I am 100% certain that EPRDF is trying to destroy all Amhara people from any place in each corner. Goshyerad was born and raised in Gojjam, Dejen town and earned his LLB degree from Addis Ababa University. He is professional and respectful to anyone and didn’t like to involve in any circumstances outside his duty. He loves his profession very much and has dedication for his career.
The only reason TPLF put this guy in Jail may be due to his ethnic background and being one of those who have attended school. I do not believe he associated to any party or plot any criminal activity while he is in school for that matter. Shame on TPFL!!!
May GOD destroy all those evils!!
