Asmara, 16 March 2009 - National high school leaving certificate exams got underway today inside the country and abroad.
About 18,000 nationals are taking part in the exams at the Warsay-Yikaalo School in Sawa and abroad that would continue until March 21, according to the Testing Center of the National Board for Higher Education.
Out of the total number of the participants, 30% are females and 32% individuals wishing to take the exams for the second time, while the remaining are students of the Warsay-Yikaalo School in Sawa.
The exams for individuals participating for the second time are taking place in testing centers in each administrative region.

N.B
My take on looking at the picture is that ...the students are supposed to be in the senior year of college/university , not in highschool. Thanks to shabia, these youth are a bit behind in education.
