Back in 2008 when food price inflation went up by 39.4%, Reuters reported

“Families in Addis Ababa are eating in shifts; the oldest on Monday, the second on Tuesday, the third on Wednesday. “If he’s lucky there is something for the eldest to eat on Wednesday morning or evening again.”

Today, food prices are up by a staggering 50%. Well, it's not that difficult to imagine how much the people are suffering.
