I hope you all will take some time to watch this BBC documentary. It gives you a glimpse in to the future of Africa as a continent and its people, if its "leaders" continue selling it off. These sales are not going to be temporary nor the buyers are intending to dash in and out!

I have one kid and I need one more and after that I am done. Access to contraception is the best solution to reduce fertility. We have to take care of our forest very dearly and if we don't, we loose our water too. Ashebir will be responsible for our mess.
:) Thanks rev, very interesting story.

revealations,

good point. i watched the documentary sometime ago and the motive of the chinese leaders is now pretty clear to everybody. 350 million chinese are expected to live in Africa in the next 2 decades, In 30 years the population of chinese will be more than the Africans in the continent of Africa. As of now 30% of African assets including oil is in the hands of the Chinese.

It is not only the Chinese but the lowly indians are also now in the game. In Asia, in countries like: indonesia, Philipine, Thailand, Singapore and Malysia - 5% of chinese ethnic group controls 95% of the economy. And they totally dominate and influence issues important to the Chinese. Riot, protest and boy cott can't even dent their enoromous power.

Today's African leaders are like toys for chinese. Arican leaders and their government are corrupt to their neck and this creates a huge openings for far thinking chinese leaders. A country like ethiopia is up for grab and domination. Its market is a dump for chinese and indians cheap and else where unwanted merchandise killing the spirits and energy of home grown merchants and enterpenurs. ethiopian food markets become a dumping ground for expired and excess food products of the West and Ethiopian farmers are dead in water. they can't compete with free food coming in to the country flooding the market.

Melese Zenawi and gangs are cheering and clapping on standing ovation for China's gift of the African Union building - the yellow race is working for 50 years ahead of the monkeys. In my recent visit to ethiopia, i heard a TPLF official praising China for its free construction of the interchange in the gotera road in Addis. imagine Chinese giving any thing free.

A thread like this would have been a good point to discusss and debate issues of future and present ethiopia.

elias would have used such a thread (instead of leaving it to cadrie moderators) to attaract other genunine vistors to this forum.

instead Cadires are throwing sily and childish comments to kill the thread.

Revelation,

At the going rate, in 400, years, people will have to make seven stories on each other shoulders even to make a room for each other on this planet. In other words, the planet can not survive that long into the future. Its survivality even in 100 years is questionable. That is the very reason, there is a serious plan to colonize Mars as soon as possible. But, the survivality our Solar system as a whole is in serious doubt. 8ooo light years away, there is a giant star colliding with a smaller one on the same orbit about to go to supernova whose gamma rays are squarely directed to mother earth. Hence, the Chinese know very well more room means survival even for the next one hundred years. Naturally, African is the most likely to offer not only space but rich landscape endowed with natural resources and plenty illeterate slavery like free labor not to mention untouched energy under the ground.

Peace
