Guys,

By now it is clear to everybody that the time of Meles has expired and he will be thrown soon like a used condom. However, uncle Sam is not naive, reading the political landscape of Ethiopia, he is grooming Siye and Birtukan for you, to keep the system intact, while making some cosmetic change.

I doubt if Meles Zenawis rule is repicable or his legacy survive. A ruler like him comes once in a countries history as a way of nature teaching humans to remind their responsibilities. Meles is the result of Ethiopians doing too littel. If we don't learn from this we may have to repeat it.
Especially if Meles is removed by popular uprising then the people will have the confidence to claim their right to rule. Personaly I do not object US grooming any one. Infact there is a lot to learen from US since both countries are multi cultural and face similar chalanges in terms of ethnic and other diversities. USA may not be an example of ethnic equality and tolerance but at least we will learn what not to do.

Ideally, emulating the governance system of the United States can be a wonderful thing for people perusing a Republican form of government (rule by law), as opposed to Democratic (rule by man).

But to wish that the United States becomes the Kingmaker in Ethiopia is nothing short of throwing yourself at the feet of a reluctant master and begging to be enslaved. It appears that the long-lasting stigma associated with foreign-aid got the best of you, your whole life now revolves around the use of patronizing symbolism to compensate for a lack of willpower and determination to create your own destiny.

But it's really not your fault. You're not to blame for whatever happened to your brain when you were a kid playing with empty aluminum cans that once contained food-aid. Maybe you are shocked to read this as you would probably be also shocked to know that the aluminum cans cost more to make than the actual food-aid it contained.

QUOTE: Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than an unsuccessful man with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. (Calvin Coolidge)

This will be the last time for my little dictator Ashbeir to visit USA. If he shows up again, I will throw my flip flap at him or slap his ugly face for good.
