"The prison is divided into zones with about 1,000 people in each zone," she said. "In each zone there are small huts, with between 150 and 250 people in each, where they are locked up at night. In each hut there are only about 100 beds, so most people sleep on the bare floor. At one point Martin told me there were so many prisoners in the hut that they had to sleep stacked next to each other on the floor."

Like a Concentration Camp !!

The family is paying a hotel across the street to bring them lunch packets each day, "and we've given them some dry food to cook at night," she said. "But they have to hang it up in the roof so that the rats don't eat it. ... We should have given them metal cans instead of plastic ones since the rats can eat through the plastic cans."

Eden,

You see, weyanes Jail are known to most Ethiopians, but now they are being exposed for what they are. Torture Chambers, Concentration style Killing Grounds. Shame , Shame. !!

BTW:
Dont bring Issu this, Shabiya this, since we think of you guys the same as the Point of our Misery for the majority of Ethiopians. Weyanes and Shabiyas, infact the Northern Part has been nothing but trouble for the last 40 years. We wish you will finalize your " Greater Tigray" agenda and get the H##ell out of our back.

Simply amazing that Eden the Weyane is still pretending to be Eritrean on this forum. Give it up. No one believes your BS. At least come up with a new nickname.

BTW, this topic is not worth discussing. Meles' kangaroo court will eventually pardon these Swedes because Meles and Azeb need their monthly food stamps from the EU.

This goes to show that Ethiopia is controlled by foreign corporations that enslaved the woyanes who're now carrying out a massive scale genocide in the Ogaden region at the behest of Swedish oil companies salivating over the prospect of exploiting the oil and natural gas deposit in the Ogaden region. Any journalist, be it Ethiopian or Swedish, who try to expose the on-going genocide in the Ogaden region is to be silenced by imprisonment on trumped up "terrorism" charges.

Fed_Up wrote:what evidence do you require to release the Gantanamo prisoner ? as we all heard that they were the threat to the national security of the nation, U.S.. and now they are going to rotten in prison plus torturer day and night.

please do not compare hgdef and the us. people, journalists, leaders in America speak up against guantanamo all the time without fearing they go to jail. it's complete opposite with hgdef. there are no outlets to speak up against hgdef's jailings, tortures and executions. do not defend the indefensible.

even chief prosecutor is speaking against guantanamo. if this was backhome, he would be jailed, tortured and executed and you know it:

for video of chief prosecutor click here:

Eden, I decided to write my personal, final statement on this issue with capital letters, so that it maybe sinks into your eritrean wannabe head.

ANYONE WHO CALLED FOR "ELECTIONS AND DEMOCRACY" DURING THE INTENSE ATTACK OF THE WEYANE AND THEIR HANDLERS, BEFORE THE BLOOD OF OUR MARTYRS HAD EVEN DRIED AND BEFORE THEIR FAMILIES WERE NOTIFIED, TO CREATE CONFUSION AND SCHISM IS A TRAITOR. DETAILS OF WHAT THEY DID AND WHO THEY MET ETC. HASN´T BECOME PUBLIC YET BUT THE TIMING OF THEIR ACTION IS EVIDENCE ENOUGH!

zmeselo,

i have no doubt you believe what you just said and honestly speaking I have no problem with you expressing yourself.

but your views are not the only views that should count. others have other views. why is it your pro hgdef views are allowed to circulate in the state media but others' views are banned from circulating? why do you support rulers who ban others' views from circulating among the public via non state controlled media owned and operated by Eritrean citizens? Do you not trust Eritreans?

I have problem with you not because of your views or because you express them. I have problem with you because you do not allow others to do what you are doing which is having views and expressing them freely. you have put Eritrea on the map by jailing more journalists than all of the 50 plus African governments combined have jailed.

All this is in order to promote your views and force it on the public without other Eritreans' views being given the consideration it deserves.
