Aba-Dula wrote:The best way to figure out how Weyanes law is not working is that they convict Elias Kifle for the fifth time in absentia. This is how dumb they are, they have already passed on their little TPLFite pea brain judgment for him to die, there is no more verdict than death row. That was supposed to have been the end for Elias Kifle's. Instead they are saying the same thing again and again, death sentence the year before last year, again deth sentence last year, and death sentence this year, and it goes on and on.

What's sad is the people they have in their custody, they are making them suffer, they are threatening them with death and they are toruring them. But they will never get their hands of Elias Kifle and Abebe Gelaw, they can however destroy the spirit of Daniel Abebe, Andarge and Iskinder Nega. Before they get their hands on Elias, TPLF will collapse, just like the tunnels of Gilgel Gibe II dam that was washed off.

And above any thing else..what is the purpose?

One's terrorist is another one freedom fighter.

Hello everyone? do you remember what was happening in Europe few years ago specially in Serbia, Ukraine and Kyergystan? I mean the color revolutions? All of them were made possible thanks to the media that played an important role in rallying the masses. Before and after these revolutions it has been proved time and again that dictators hate the media. They hate it because the media exposes the bureaucracy's weakness and they know the people take it out on them. If the media writes about injustice, lack of freedom, corruption and so on it means that the people will learn and organize and overthrow the government.
We do not have to study political science in order to understand why dictators want a media that is controlled by them. They want to say what ever they want in order to convince the citizens what they say is right and the only truth. The state controlled media is a propaganda machine that is part and parcel of the dictators' suppression policy. The people who work at the state controlled machines are paid to advance the dictators' policy. If they don't obey they will either loose their jobs , go to jail or even killed. Hitler and his propaganda minister Gobbles used the media for their advantage.
Now we are seeing it in Ethiopia. The same as it happened before they are putting journalists in jail. Again as it happened before they do not say they put them in jail because they are writing the truth or they are telling the people to fight for democracy. They accuse them of crimes against the country, the people and peace. This is not new in the world of dictators. As we all know in natural science there is a thing called "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction'. The people of Ethiopia have now reached at a point where they are going to overthrow the government. I think it is time for the leaders of the opposition to get ready and lead the regular citizens before it is too late.
