TYRANT DICTATORS ARE PROBLEMS AND NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION – Wondimu Mekonnen, London
Thursday, February 23rd, 2012

http://ecadforum.com/ethiopian-news/12674/
“Democracy has no colour!” was the slogan of the protestors. The democracy the West preaches in Afganstan, Zimbabwe, Lybia, Egypt and elsewhere is the samething that Ethiopians are demanding over the last 21 years. How long? Ethiopians have already realised that the only thing that uproots the tyrant is violence. That is why we see today blood-bath in Ogaden. The OLF had already resorted to ousting this criminal from power as Meles is attempting to jail all Oromo ethnic groups. Now, the Oromo language has become lingua franka of Meles’s prison, as per Mr Seye Abraha, a from TPLF high ranking official. The desperate Afars have already started taking hostages because they cry has been ignored. This is the beginning of Somalisation of Ethiopia, unless the West does something with this tyrant.

Weyane’s strategy of fake negotiations with the legal Synod in the Diaspora
Monday, February 27th, 2012

Why did the fake negotiation fail is not the main question. We know it will never work. This “negotiation” will fail a hundred times in the future. Instead, our focus should be on the question of why this fake negotiation is happening now.

Thursday, March 8th, 2012

Representative Donald Payne, the dean of New Jersey's House delegation and the first black congressman elected to represent New Jersey, died at age 77 from colon cancer on Tuesday.
How does one say farewell to a great friend of Ethiopia and Africa? Representative Donald Payne, the dean of New Jersey’s House delegation and the first black congressman elected to represent New Jersey, died at age 77 from colon cancer on Tuesday. He was elected to 12 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, and served on various committees including Education and Workforce and Foreign Affairs committees. He chaired the Subcommittee on Africa for a number of years. His passing marks a great loss for the cause of democracy and human rights in Ethiopia and Africa.
