Isayas and Meles : who will remember as a great leader & whose statue will erect by future genrtion?

Postby Fed_Up » 21 Mar 2012, 14:53

As the wide open world know the selfless leader issayas afewrqi of Eritrea will be remember by future generation of African children for his greatness. And I believe we will see his statue in so many African and other nations metropolitan area. Mark my word!

When we come Meles zenawi of Ethiopia will be forgotten or will be remembered his betrayal and corruption not for Ethiopia but the entire continent of Africa. meles zenawies death is not just once but it is like 10 times worst.

What do you think?

Do you think meles zenawi statue will be erected in London and Washington d.c. For his unwavering service for the west? Hehehe who knows the west might just promised him that for his betryal and selling African best interest in Copenhagen global warming summit for the west.

Very easy. Just look at history of Egypt.

Gamal Abdel Nasser was called "Hitler on the Nile" by the West. To this day, Egyptians most of whom were not born when he died remember him with great fondness and pride. They still sing songs about him. Modern Egypt (heavy industry, food self sufficiency, transformation of rural areas, women's rights) all came to fruition under his rule.

On the other hand, the West's 30 year puppet Hosni Mubarak was criticized by his main constituents (Western media and diplomats) as soon as he left and Egyptians still curse him. Under Hosni Mubarak, a few rich became super rich and corruption became rampant while the majority's standard of living stagnated.

So to go back to your question:

Pres Isaias = Gamal Abdel Nasser

Meles Zenawi = Hosni Mubarak

Lets be objective here.
The midget, irrespective how coward he is in the field. He is a smart politician who tells you the exact word you want to hear and when the time is ripe.he will strike like Cobra till you end up in Kalatit prison. remember, Ethiopia is a vast country with many different ethnicities and different desire, some lazy ethnic group, some backward ethnic gropu whose life style is in 12th century and some some talkative ethnic group and the fact that the midget was able to pull all this kind of people together and ruled over them with the iron fist with no challenge to his rule tell a great del about his capacity.

In fact when i try to evaluate Meles versus Issias, They reminds me about the Film the gladioator. Issias been [Maximus] and Meles been commodos.
Maximus was straightforward Roman general who was straightforward military man and who was loved by his troops ..a man with mission. While Commodos, was a coward like Meles...and like meles, he was canny...Instead to to be loved by his people..he took the Roman senate to dance to his done by either conviction or blackmail..he was a master of intrigue.

Facts....Your history is twisted.

Jamal Abdel nasir was indeed a very handsome and charismatic leader but he was zero in content, his biggest acheivement was the nationalization of the Suez Canal which lead the invasion of Egypt by the combined English and French forces not to mention the bombardment of Egyptian position by the Israeli air force. Jamal lost 2 wars...and he has no victory in his merit.

Mubarak Was the Egyptian air force chief under the october war in 1973 which lead the recapture of Sinai from Israel and which shocked the Jewish states to its knees..In fact, Egyptian and arabs alike take great pride in this victory.

Please do not lower Wedi Afom's leadership ability by comparing with a "lemagne zer" ugly corrupt, coward leader such as the midget meles chenawi.
Yes Isayas's statues should be erected in all African Capitals while meles's should be erected in his master nations bathrooms with one of his hands holding a roll of a paper towel and a coin collecting plate on the other.
Fed Up, please do me a favore brother from another mother. Do not compare any thing ethiopian with any thing Eritrean. You know that we look up wards to compare or to achieve what we want to achieve not down wards for we see ethiopia under the woyane as an institute on how not to do thing. In short, it is good to learn from your own mitakes but is even much better to learn from the mistakes of other stupid leaders and governments.

Gamal as you would expect is bad mouthed by every Western historian. Gamal Abdel Nasir was charismatic but also accomplished a lot. Before his era, rural Egypt was like rural Africa dirt poor people;among the poorest in the world and barely surving. He completed Aswan dam and after achieving agricultural suprlus Egypt began to make investments in some heavy industries as well. He also built a strong army that is still in place. There was very little corruption in Egypt under his rule; he always stated he was born poor and he would die poor. Many of his extended family were peasants even when he was president.

Mubarak was not charismatic or ideological like Nasser and Sadat so he decided to be a Western puppet as his base of support and just live the good life for him and his family. After 30 years of no direction....everyone knows the rest.

Issaias and Meles will be remembeted for different reasons. Issaias will be remembered for throwing Mengistu out and Meles will be remembered as the main beneficiary of Issaias' hard work. History is cruel sometimes, it reveals every detail of what has transpired when.
