Introduction to Federalism for Amharas. Chapter one. Your right and obligation as Amhara Ethiopians

Postby Bwendimu » 31 Mar 2012, 16:16

No matter what language you use to lecture our brothers and sisters from Amhara region on matter of Ethnic fereration they can't get it. Ethnic federation subject for Amharas is like rocket science. They can not understand what it is. They mess up citizen right with their ethnic right. Others do understand the difference but the Amharas, they failed to get it. That is why I need to hold this class and give short introduction to what is a right in Ethinically federated country. What is the limit of every Ethiopian. Do I have 100% right in Ethiopi?. Qqiqiqiq. No one got 100% right in the world. You give up many of it for common good. Let us now proceed to the lecture.
It is no more your right to travel in Ethiopia and push any one aside and calim a title to a land and property and destroy cultures! No! "Your right is some what checked on certainthings. like your right to land. You have right to a land in your region based on your need. That means if you are a farmer you are entitled to a farm land. If you are towo dweler you are entitled to a land to build your home by meeting the set criteria of your town or village. You are entitled to speak your language and enjoy your culture with those who share the same culture with you. All these happen to you where you were born and raised. Say if you are an Amhara you have those rights in Amhara region. Once you cross ethnic borders you must now check your right lists. You can not travel with all the rights you had at home. Say, you can not come to Oromiya and tell Oromos to speak by Amharic or they are finished. Or you should force the local rulers to give you land because you are Ethiopian. You must know what to take with you when you travel with in our federated borders. We got local laws and way of life that is very much different from the one you left behind. Your rights are limited to travel, eat, work if you get a job. You have no right to the local politics. You can not vote in Oromiya or seek an office in Oromiya. May be if you are adapted citizen of the area who lived there for years and know the culture and love to protect it and the people know you as such you may be Oromiyan president. But this idea that you follow your cousins in settlements areas, clear forest and say "this is mine and I live here and I want to be Oromiyan president" is not what we prescribed to. The reason is very much humaniterian. The oromos got a right to be judged and rulled by their own. They have a right to have a local guy as town mayer who can speak their language. Your ambitions are anti humanity and it is intended to deprive the people their right to their language and culture and right to be herd.

This is not intended to harm Amharas as such. It works for Oromos who travel to Amhara and demand the same thing. The idea is to creat for peoples of Ethiopia a place they call home where they are not safocated by others and denied rights. It is intended to make Ethiopia more colorful where every one develops his potential so that our country shine. This idea that you were denied a right in some ones home andyou cry faoul is really funny. Why you need double right? You got yours in Amhara region why you need this one now? Come on guys we all deserve to at least one spot where we say "this is home where I can speak by my thung and herd. This is home where I can enjoy my cultue."

The unitarists who sabotage Ethiopin federal structure are not followed by Tigires but by the locals who suspect Amhara intentions. Amhara hardly be a good guest. You give him your seating room for a night, he may demand your bed room the following day. This is bad culture and you need to correct it. You are still Ethiopians though. We love you and protect you but this one bad habit of yours we do not know what to do with it.

I think deporting 22,000 people overnight is a very hostile act. Not even illegal immigrants are deported at this rate. If this does not result in an armed uprising, Ethiopians are finally enslaved permanently.

how about if the same number of people decied to build their 'chereqa bet' where they are now. If they have a right in South, they should have the same right to Addis Abeba. Will you cry faul if the government come and buldoze their shanti town that may give bad image to the city. It does not matter how many you are if what you did is illegal you must be removed. Sorry I am some what undeplomatic and failed to feel the pain of the people. But if these are forgiven the whole region may leave his home and come down and cause more sufferings to the locals.

Well that argument makes no sense because these people lived in the place they are deported from for 30 years. Smart Ethiopians I conversate with have already assigned responsibility to Sebhat Nega. So this whole discussion is pointless.

You are that illiterate and you claim to live in the U.S. while supporting this magnitude of crime.

Your lecture is not only very bad.

You mix up things between federalism and criminal activities. If you are a New Yorker and went to New Jersey and broke New Jersey's law, there should be a court of law in New Jersey to try your case and bring you to justice. What do you call deporting New Yorkers and their young children in thousands from New Jersey to New York under the suspicion and allegation of some New Yorkers in New Jersey breaking New Jersey's law? I understand that the federalism we have in Ethiopia is different but the acts parallel this example. It is that simple.

Why such conflicting opinions in one day?
