now i see why you drop the "preaching' bomb. I am sure you have never heard me preach or declare a war in the diaspora on the radio, on television and newspapers. because i am no body.
I fail to see your point here. May be you will elaborate and educate me.
you just said one of the comment you make "instead of preaching i should go home and lead by example" because "i even insulted Ambassador imiru in this thread'
you just asked me: Why don't you lead by example and do what you have been preaching for the last so many years and go back to Ethiopia?
when i asked you what I have been preaching 'and why me go to ethiopia your answer was: Even in this thread you insulted Ambassador Imru Zeleke for the statement he made about Amara's need to organize and told him to shut up or go back to Ethiopia and organize others. This is a statement you have consistently made in the past and now
obviously you are not happy that Ambassador imiru is insulted. He is the one who called for a creation of a "new Amhara organization'. You should ask him to go to ethiopia and create the organization to defend the Amharas. instead you are asking me to walk his talk. i am not the one who said a new amhara organization has to be created. i have supported and will contiue to support those who are fighting the woyannies in ethiopia. They are doing what they can - who am i to go to ethiopia and be their example.
I don't have a poltical organization and i don't believe in poltical organization created or claim to wage a polticl struggle in the diaspora.
I didn't say you did. Thank you for the clarification though. it never hurts.
good it didn't hurt you to know that i am no body. so next time you will not ask me to walk somebody's talk.
I am on the record - against those who tried to bring the struggle out of Ethiopia to america.
I fail to see how this relates to this thread or on what ambassador Imru Zeleke had said.
Oh - i thought you know the Ambassador resides in the US. So is the satlite platform 'ESAT' that he has made the order for the creation of a new organization on top of the many organizations in ethiopia whom he considers irrelavant to defend the insterest of ethiopians.
i am on the belief that all the diaspora can do is help those who are battling the woyannies day in and day out in ethiopia. but not to lead, dicate, guide and or sabotage from a comfortable life in the Diaspora.
I guess you are convinced that what the ambassador proposed leads to what you stated. May be you will be kind enough to present us with more data that supports your assertion.
I doubt it the Ambassador is ignornant of the existence of such organizations that he proposed to be created. they exist, and so many have died and so many are in prision as we speak sacrifing themselves for the cause. if he thinks the existing poltical organizations are are irrelevant then he can do it himself. but not on ESAT - that will be only TALK with no action. otherwise i will say go for it.
the oppressor, the opressed, the battle field and the solution is in ethiopia.
No one will deny that.
good to know.
for me those who are roaring in the diaspora and waiting stand by to assume power once the dust has settled are simply detractors but not warriors.
Based on this statement, once anyone leaves Ethiopia due to political persecution or any other reason, they have to abstain from all political activities until they find someone they can support back home. If for whatever reason they don't find such an organization, they will have to stay quite. Am I correct?
But they have been talking all the time. and you know the result. they are not a support group but they are all poltical organizations functioning in the US and Europe to bring a change one day in Ethiopia. stay quite or roaring - i don't know how they will defeat the enemy away from the battlefield working part time poltics. hey, i may be wrong - may be that is the way to defeat the TPLF.
my involvement in the poltical struggle "in Ethiopia' started as a supporter of those poltical organization that fought the woyannies during the 2005 election. to a degree we manage to play our role postively by supporting those in ethiopia. but when some self declared leaders in the diaspora started to derail our role things got out of control - the rest you know.
So what do you suggest
help morally and materially those who are battling the Woyannies at home. have faith, respect and forward constructive criticzm to those who are fighing the Woyannies in Ethiopia. Don't try to be a leader of the leaders 16 thousands kms away from Ethiopia. directives, orders, knowing it all atitude will further divide the opposition and weaken the struggle. What is the point of having several poltical organazations in the diaspora. don't you think that is counter productive. i may be wrong. if it works then go for it.
back to Ambassador imiru. he is the preacher but not me. this is not the first time he came out and tried to set the clock backward. at least in 3 occasions i heard him comment on the movement of the Amhara people and its leaders.
What did he say that had so offended you?
this is not personal. he is calling for the creation of a new organization. well it may be time for him with his vast knowledge and expirence to start something. he has to put up or shut up.
Thanks to the great Prof. Asrat w/s the Amhara people organized themselves some 20 years ago and now they have evolved in to a national party. i don't think there will be a turning back to ethnic organization. so many have died and their families suffered fighting the Woyannie government in "Ethiopia". Now for him to come out and preach to ethiopians to create an Amhara organization to defend the Amhara people will not only bring the clock back but it is like spitting on those who died and sacrifce themselves to help all ethiopians the last 20 years.
I don't have it to post it here. But he called for the creation of a new organization to defend the Amharas.
about two years ago he insulted the MEAD leaders letting the Amhara people down by interperting their method of struggle as a surrender. They are not perfect but he can go home and help them to do it right. Now, he said the Amhara people has to organize itself by creating an organization. And challenging Ambassador imiru who is preaching about creating an organizaton and to walk the talk is hardly preaching. asking the leaders of TAND, EPRP, G7,Ande Ethiopia, hibre hizbi (created in america and will die in america),Meason, AAPO,and so many to take the fight in ethiopia instead of giving false hope and war propaganda is not too much.
I take it that you are mad at him for criticizing certain leader/leaders you support. Why is that?
that is a wrong interpretation. didn't you say i am consistent:[
b]This is a statement you have consistently made in the past and now[/b]
