Belay- You have entitled your opinion to be heard. But for some reason still your avoiding your voice. No body is going to insult you nor to call you names because of your opinion. If you respect every one and listen to what they are discussing about, you might learn something. We are here discussing the issue which is important for all us. We are not going to change govt by throwing words or with our anger. This is a discussion forum to understand what is going in our homeland. There are few who wants to insult every one because we are not on the same page with them. My example is Nega Tuma and I gave him two chances to straighten up himself. If he keeps name calling or insulting, I will pay him back.
Again I want to you open up a little bit and speak up your mind. I want Beles, Eden and YM to tell us what they think. I don't think it is too much to ask. They are spending a lot of time arguing and posting some interesting articles. It is time for them to stand up and tell us where they stand. We are not going to judge any member because what they believe in. So it is up to you to speak up or move on. Instead of spending a lot of time arguing about Eritera in which we don't have nothing to do with them, you need to concentrate about our country tragedy. This is my advice to you. You need to loosen up rather than avoiding your country problem.

you may find Ambassador Imiru's full interiew in the above link.
deservdly you are angry that i told the ambassador to put up or shut up.
he called for the Amharas to organize to defend themselves. he admitted he was against the creation of AAPO because of the ethnicity name associated with it. he was also present when MEAD was created. but he has now a different idea. But i don't understand why he is calling for the creation of a new organization when we should work with or around the existing one. He is the only person who knows what kind of vision he has when he propose for the Amharas to organize themselves. Is it the Amhara People Liberation Front? only him knows the answer.

regardless, i was wrong to tell him to put up or shut up. he is a very old man who speaks from his heart out of frustration. And I am frustrated by the numerous talk, knowing it all atitude, it should be done this way and should be done that way attitude of the Diaspora 16 thsd kms away. i am not convinceed creating so many organizations will defeat the enemy - instead it will help it survive. And the Ambassador also recognized that aspect of the point but then he says something contrary to that.

no, i don't want to silence anybody.i said what i said to the ambassador out of frustration but not out of disrespect. good for you that i am "Funny". you and beles are my favorite contributors in this form. believe me, those brave opposition groups in ethiopia are doing their best to bring the TPLF down and do not need me to go there and lead them by example. And that is where i will stop.

Arat Kilo,

I have watched his interview on ESAT. At no time in the interview did he say that he wanted a political party for Amaras. What he suggested is a form of organization equivalent to "Irish American" African America" etc.. civic organizations that supports and advocates the groups needs. He made it very clear that he wasn't calling for a political party. He wanted to have a means and a way to help those that are victims of TPLF ethnic cleansing actions such as that was witnessed recently, by at least giving them shelter, food, clothing and transportation money. Why did you jump to attack him for that?

In my view, I found him to be very sincere in his efforts, very humble in the way he presented himself and at no time I felt that he had any hidden agenda. At his age, he doesn't. It's disappointing to watch many folks that are ready to demonize him with no constraints or any qualms with their disrespect for his age. Somehow, everyone feels that there is no need for social norms and culture. Slowly but surely, we are willingly stripping ourselves from the graciousness and culture that was handed down to us in the false belief of "practicing democracy and free speech", which we are absolutely not!

Who are you? And why do you think you know better than anybody? Why do you write "insultable" ideas and get bitter when your innate weaknesses are pinpointed? Avoiding questions can't remove your weakness. Going back to school might help you.

In your shallow water or sellout business, we have nothing to do with Eritrea. You won't escape from your opportunistic deeds, and you have no moral ground to give an advice to anyone. Learn to swallow how little your thinking is. That is the first step to wisdom.

revelations,

Do you support the formation of an exclusively "Amhara" political party at this stage of political development in Ethiopia?

Very interesting and clear message from Amara leaders to Non-Amaras (especially Tigray askaris) and they must understand it!

You order me not to ever reply to you? Again, why do you get bitter when your innate weaknesses are pinpointed? Avoiding questions can't remove your weakness.
