HIGDEF Rulers should act and act now

Postby eden » 25 Apr 2012, 08:01

This is a good time for hgdef rulers to save themselves and save the country from falling into the hands of foreigners, opportunists and puppets. Implement the constitution, let all oppositions come in and play multi party, let the press be free. This way when hgdef is down, it can use constitutional means to check the power of the oppositions some of whom have religious and ethnic bias and some of whom have foreign interest to work for.

If hgdef rulers really want for their hard work to pay, this is the time to free everything so that the opposition doesn't do to them what they have been doing to the opposition which is jailing, torturing and killing. They can remain relevant and even come back to power in about 10 years by defeating a fragmented opposition.

If they stick to their guns, their only ending is that of Gadafi's. Just retire Aforqi, regroup as a new party and compete as one of the many parties in a new Eritrea. Otherwise, you lose and the country loses. hgdef rulers should have one paramount objective right now and that is to stay relevant in post Isayas's Eritrea. We all have seen how countries go down after their big men go down. hgdef rulers have a closing window of opportunity and they should use it now.

These are men of war, they trust no one other than their instincts, reflexes and their firearms. Don't expect them to entrust their safety to a piece of paper called the constitution, they will only trust in their own ability to protect their own lives.

If words could annihilate them, they would have been annihilated back in May 2000.

Another suggestion, in the event that hgdef rulers do not act, their supporters should come together without having to wait for directives from hgdef rulers. Once the so called oppositions/ activists come to power, any hgdef sympathiser will be marginilazed and it will be next to impossible to legaly organize under the new regime.

I'm not pro hgdef but I do believe their existence and continued political participation is crucial for democratization and even sovereignity of Eritrea. I hope they wake up in time and act.

O people ... That the enemies of Eritrea burned the last card they have put an old rumor and inherited .. They want to undermine the Eritrean symbol of the nation .. Symbol of pride, pride and resilience symbol of unity and strength building and symbol of prosperity and stability ..They are free to dream.Sooner or later, they MUST wake up to face reality. One cant escape it. They will suffer most, when their expectations are not met. I know some people whose blood sugar level and pressure will spike to unprecedented levels. If truth can kill ,may it destroy them! There should be no mercy for traitors who sell out to the foe.
