Conformist- I don't call tyrant አጭበርብር- He is the NO-1 bloody terrorist leader in Africa. He deserves to be called አሽብር- nothing else.

easy! I thing OJ calls the Hasad budha Abebe "አሸብር", because he is a bloody TERRORIST! That is my take and OJ can speak for himself.

I agree .

አሸብር means a man who terrorizes his enemies, a Terrorist is a man who terrorizes civilians. There is nothing in common between them. Every time you use አሸብር on Meles, you are making him look good. Words have power, we need to select them carefully.

ኣሸባሪ is better than አሸብር, but still from the point of view of propaganda it isn't potent.

In Amharic there isn't an effective word for terrorist, that is because terrorism is a western concept, invented to denigrate its opponents. It is a highly infuriating word because they have invested so much time, effort and money on it. We have nothing like it, because we haven't yet made an investment on it.

But if OJ chooses to use ኣሸባሪ, then it is slightly more effective than አሸብር. Grammaticly thou, ኣሸባሪው is more appropriate.

Ethiopia: The End of TPLF

If Ethiopians fail to control their destiny, they could look at many models. There are the examples of Somalia and Congo as the worst-case scenarios, and at best, Afghanistan like situation where the US could place Kharzai like personality to continue the status quo in order to pursue US agendas. This means, large uncontrolled areas, continuous unrest, and hardship for the people of Ethiopia. It also means continuous instability in the region for decades to come. These are some reasons that make Ethiopia the business of all the people in the region, because it can be source of instability for the entire region. All the ingredients that can help the situation in Ethiopia explode are in place. The economy is in doldrums exacerbating the hardships. Absent of divine intervention it is just a matter of time until the apocalypse happens.
