I don't get it, do they go to the Arab countries to commit suicide? If suicide is their goal, they can do it in Ethiopia with dignity, where they will at least get decent burial.

R.I.P.

Conformist, you will get it when the victim is a member of your family.

A member of my family would rather be dead than be a slave to Arabs, sometimes life is not worth living if you don't know how to live it.

I must agree with revolutions here because you seem to drop insensitive comments. Though questioning your humanity is not warranted , I have to question the logic of using concepts such as 'dignity' or 'honor' that you are always fond of when making unwarranted judgement. 'What is that you are calling dignity? How is death in your country 'dignity'? I just find dignity in this context meaningless. Simply if conditions do not allow you in your country to live in dignity, then you are not going to die in dignity either. In fact, it is human nature to seek more adventure to improve your life. She was not the first to do it, and definitely not the last one. As long us poverty and ignorance remain with us, we will have to brace for more bad news. My opinion is that you have no idea of the woman's circumstances that led to her exile up to the events that led to her suicide. I am sure about this. So judging with out facts is not needed here. We already have plenty of those people that judge before even they listen an argument. But I still believe you are not one of them.

Conformist,

In the first place the woman is not slave. She is just a migrant worker trying to make a living. Whether her decision was informed or not is another matter. She is definitely not a slave as you have branded her, even if her condition might have been tantamount to slavery. Second, you are not 'your family'. Your family is made up of individuals including you. Even if you live together, you all act more individually than collectively. So you have no control over what a member of your family decides or acts. But in the above statement of yours, you have already attempted to decide for them, which is not logical. You might advice and have influence, but ultimately individual adult members decide for themselves. Even though you are entitled for your opinion, I find your statements unnecessary

The unbelievably arrogant and racist nature of the gulf Arabs is well known, we have been hearing of one horror story after another being inflicted on maids all over the gulf for about three deacdes now. the horror stories are endless, yet this women are still begging to be allowed in to be accepted as slaves by the Arabs. If these women are escaping ture poverty then the place to immigrate to is the west or Australia where human dignity is protected, not to Arab countries where they are treated like dogs.

These women know what awaits them in the Arab ocuntries but they are still flooding there, why? Because the petro-dollars are more precious to them than their lives.

We hate and curse Woyane daily for our own political reasons, but in all fairness Woyane has made available the means to subsist onfarming in Ethiopia. No poor woman can grow rich by farming a small plot of land in EEthiopia, but she doesn't have to starve, there are numerous micro-finance programs supported by foreign aid, every woman who is without means to survive can ask for a small plot of land and a small grant and loan, which she can use to buy farm implements to at least grow enough food to feed herself and even make a progit if she works with other women like her. But these shameless women are not looking for farms to work on, they prefer to become slaves to Arabs, and they embarass us by calling themselves Ethiopians.

Comformist, U´re truly a strange character sometimes. What do U mean, she needn´t starve? Aren´t people in Ethiopia starving by the millions as we speak? Leaving the arrogance and inhumanity of the gulf arabs aside, I´m sure if there was any african country with the level of economic progress like the gulf states, people would definitely flock there. So the problem is, once again, in Ethiopia. There´s no use in insulting other people when the problem lies in the leadership of your country. I often repeat this: ethiopians shouldn´t at all starve or even live in poverty, considering what a wonderful and rich country they possess. But, once again, the country doesn´t belong to them. It has been robbed from them. What you and people like you should think and do is, how to make the lives of your citizens better, so they needn´t go into exile at all. Criticizing her or her decision is, completely uncalled for. It´s actually when eritreans go into exile that makes it strange, stupid and mind boggling because there, they needn´t to. It´s a classic, the grass is greener on the other side syndrom. In their country, they´ve a great future awaiting them but they decide for misery.

Zmeselo, let me remind you of the past. In 1974 there were a lot of men in Ethiopia managing farms, creating even largr farms, businesses and even factories. But when the masses agitated for revolution the Derg came, all the farms, businesses and factories were confiscated.

Soon after, for the first time in Ethiopian history the people began to flow out of the country. Throughout the Derg rule everything that was built before was destroyed and nothing was created in its place.

Now we have wWOyane who is doinmg even worse things. Not only that Woyane prevents Amharas from owning farms, factories and businesses. All the tribes are hating Amhara but they can't create anything on their own, instead they prefer to send their women to be slaves to Arabs. Byr crippling us, by preventing us to build up they country they are crippling themselves, they are turning themselves into slaves to Arabs. All this masses of tribes have no trouble when Woyane prevents Amharas from creating jobs, but they have no trouble sending their wives and daughters to become sex slaves to Arabs.

So why should I care when all these mentally diseased tribes who are my enemies are finding themselves in a state of slavery in Arab lands?

Ethiopia is headed for total destruction in the hands of Woyane, and that's what she deserves for what she did to us, I and my people have no stake in the monstrous Ethiopia that was created by our enemies after 1974, and we have nothing to lose if this sysytem is destroyed. I care not how many slave-minded men and women are dead while trying to flee to Arab countries and to South Africa, I don't forget it was their fathers who created the Derg because of their hatred for Amhara.

I am glad Meles is still alive, because he is the prefect man to cause the disintegration of this evil country that has become a prison for my people.
