Selam all,
I was positive to work with any person with any political view as long as he /she agrees to disagree with me and still work together with respect of each other's views. However,in this forum there are people who are a Shabia and weyane surrogates whose objective is not to librate the opressed people of Ethiopia and Eritrea from their respective dictators but to tell people their dictator is better than the other dictator. We should recognize that both the people of Ethiopia and Eritrea are ruled by two brutal dictators and they should be free.If we spend most our time defending one dictator against the other we are loosing it.The core idea of democracy for our people has never been given attention or we have been distracted by these two surrogates.I still respect every body's view even the views of Weyane and Shabia but,my proposal to elias is if somebody is partisan to either Shabia or Weyane ,he /she is anti free press and he/she should not be in the editorial board. For the sake of our forum I propose my resignation from the editorial board and I continoue to be a loyal member. For the sake of this forum I love,I advise elias to put people in the editorial board who are neither weyane nor Shabia.

Double shame on you Elias K! I mean it! This is completely unacceptable by any standard and in any way. Come back to your senses - if you can, that is.

Finot,

HOW DARE, YOU MIS QUOTE ME? YOU SON OF A BEGGAR! IF YOU LACK KNOWLEDGE ON THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE YOU SHOULD ASK FOR HELP AS TO HOW TO QUOTE OR YOU SHOULD HAVE PUT THE FULL PARAGRAPH AND HIGHLIGHT THE PART YOU WANTED TO EXPLORE. IF YOU WANT TO QUOTE PARTIAL SENTENSE, THEN YOU REQUEST FOR MY PERMISSION. HOW DARE YOU CLOSE THE SENTENSE AND MAKE IT LOOK MINE? MY SENTENSE INCLUDES, THE HIGHLIGHTED PART SHOWN BELOW, BUT YOU TOOK IT UPON YOURSELF TO LEAVE A PORTION OF THE SENTENSE. I WILL CONSULT THIS VIOLATION WITH MY COLLEAGUES AND TAKE THE NECESSARY MEASURES TO DETER SUCH VIOLATIONS WOULD NOT BE REPEATED EVER AGAIN, i HOPE THE MEASURES WILL TEACH YOU INTERNET ETIQUETTE.

IT IS AMAZING HOW WORTHLESS THE ETHIOPIAN PEOPLE IS COMPARE TO KENYAN PEOPLE.

With repect to telling us about my own people, I have a news for you, you Ethno-Dictatorial-Minority-Military-Junta-Vanguard; go and explain our history to your Tegere leaders.

Ghion,

does it make it somewhat less offending to say:
IT IS AMAZING HOW WORTHLESS THE ETHIOPIAN PEOPLE IS COMPARE TO KENYAN PEOPLE.
instead of saying:
IT IS AMAZING HOW WORTHLESS THE ETHIOPIAN PEOPLE.

I leave the answer to the readers, and so should you.

May be that is not the only reason you sound full of disrespect for people.

May be you have a point saying that the Kenyan opposition played its card better than its Ethiopian counterpart. But to say, as CUD supporter you say you are, that Ethiopian people are worthless compared to Kenyan people or any other people for that matter, shows that you insult the people who gave their lives and their children's lives for the cause of CUD whose idea is great but lacks leaders. Don't you think? Ethiopia is the only nation besides Liberia who maintained its independence and here you have the audacity to assert that Ethiopians are worthless compared to ....

You said, "I WILL CONSULT THIS VIOLATION WITH MY COLLEAGUES." Please also consult the following postings from you and be kind to report back to the forum participants of the forum:

A big loss!! we are losing the only credible moderator on this forum. Over the last many months, there have been many instances where we didn't see eye to eye on certain topics, and there have been instances were we have agreed on issues. Never did I once doubt your Ethiopianity or your love for your country. Through out you tenancy as a moderator, I have had the utmost respect and admiration on your integrity , impartiality and transparency. We have lost the only moderator with a sense of "reason ".You are right......we enjoy this forum and I hate to see us spending more time arguing with the Eritrean moderators. I would rather spend my time discussing issues that would help in expediting the removal of Meles and his gang..........but instead we are here defending our country from moderators who are using this forum to spark tribal bloodbath in Ethiopia. I will remain on this forum for a little while longer, but if Elias does not make the neccessary changes, I will give up on this forum.

Dear Azeb,

I don't think there is any basis for your resignation. If we adhre to the forum rules you crafted and we all have agreed to abide by, there should be no problem. As chairperson of the forum, it is your responsibility to make sure that rules are followed. If you observe any violation of the rules, you can take action with the consent of the other board members. My involvement here is not necessary and not appropriate. I have transferred my responsibility to you and your fellow board members. You are the leader of this forum now. If you see a problem, you have the full authority to fix it.

If you are not going to be involved, then why did you ask if we have specific complaint?

yehonk gira yegebah abesha neh abo. jezebk mesel zendro! loolz

Elias wrote:Finot,

Which forum rules have been violated? Can you be more specific? Do you have a legitimate complain

Finot,

The argument here is not weather or not it is fair to compare the Ethiopian struggle with Kenyan struggle. Because the Kenyan people have proven how effective they are on their struggle for freedom and Democracy. The issue is you defamed my good name by misquote me. You purposely closed my sentence to suite your agenda. That is called defamation, I have proven to the participants and all the editorial board to see the difference of what you have done. The difference is huge! adding the words COMPARE TO KENYAN PEOPLE gives a coparative, which means the sentence was not suspended by itself as you projected it to sound as though it was an a form of insult. However, if it has those words you willingly cutout and closed the sentence, then it is meant to compare struggles between two horn countries aspiring for Democracy. That gives a whole different meaning and dimension as you can read. Better yet, you should have quoted the whole paragraph. But you thought you got me, but you did not. Instead, I got you. Your anger against me was written all over it, you wanted to get me suspended, instead you will be the one to go not me. Because you are busted red-hended!

Dear Elias,
I told you my responsibility is limited and I do not know who is deleting what, I know for sure posts are deleted including my own , still people are complaining that their posts are being deleted.I want you to take approprate action and return our credibility. Our rules should be respected by both the moderators and the members. If you agree let us forward some names and elect new editorial board with a full participation of the members.I think this is a good start to move forward.Let me know if you agree.

In one hand this forum is fighting for democracy though that democracy is some what deformed neftegna democracy that control every one till they speak pure neftegna language. They delete those comments that they hate and keep the one they like to hear. As for me every view must be respected and be left to open market policy. Good ideas or attractive post attract more response and more readers. That is what should guide this forum. Moderators must watch for anti family posts like pornography or very bad words that are not accepted in our community. That is all. No one can make media law in USA. Even congress itself can't

The composition of the new moderators should be individuals who:

--- are Ethiopians

--- must have unwavering allegiance to our motherland Ethiopia

--- have the interest of the forum to be the best Ethiopian forum

--- willing to enforce the rules of the forum without prejudice
