NEW Ethiopian PM HD voluntarily forfeited His Right to Move in to PM Mansion

Postby Tazabi-1 » 24 Sep 2012, 13:47

NEW Ethiopian PM HD voluntarily forfeited his right to move in to PM Mansion out of respect For the “Great” leader!
PMHD –out of respect for the great leader-voluntarily asked former first lady Azeb Mesfin to stay in her current residence and Hailemariam will stay in an expanse villa somewhere in the city. Even though, Azeb insisted that she move out to live in a new modern villa build by Ethio-Saudi billionaire Alamoudi but Hailemariam insisted that for her and kids safety she should continue living in the mansion!

Hello Elias Kiffle please give me more time to open my eyes, I am still puppy dog hours old.

When the great Raya people hear the most strange things do not make any sense what so ever to them they say the following in Tigrigna:

"Ezi Dema EYu Chell Kes"

Aybelnando

Alalnmwey

Meles would have called him an "idiot" for turning down the offer to move into the mansion.

This is not worthy of news. There are two old palace compounds in Addis and three more new were built under Meles Zenawi regime in the last 21 years. The new ones are now inhabited by top military officers. They are safe, spacious with modern amenities.
It is likely Azeb will live in any new or old palace for the rest of her life as long as the EPRDF is in power.

This guy deep down feels that he does not deserve the PM seat. What about his safety ? Does he think that there is no safe arrangement other than statying in the palace ?

What do you call this : Someone who has no government position other than being a Party member and a wife of a former PM staying in government Palace ???

To move in to the palace is not just a right. But also his duty according to the law. The palace is the seat of the government. It is not his to offer to any one.
If he did that I don't think it is voluntary. TPLF trying to intimidate and undermine him. It is childishly clinging to power that is slipping out of their hand rapidly.

It is more likely she refused to move and he was trying to avoid controversy. It needs to also be noted that she did not attend Hailemariam Desalegn's swearing in ceremony at the parliament.
