This just in: DMX sentenced to six months in jail; Ronald Reagan’s “GE Theater” tapes restored

* Rapper/actor DMX was sentenced to six months in a Phoenix jail for violating his probation by using drugs, the Arizona Republic reports. He could get out sooner if he’s accepted into a drug treatment program — the Pasadena center where they shoot “Celebrity Rehab” is offering to take him in, though just for treatment, not a starring role, mind you — but it depends on whether California allows him to finish his probation there. DMX has been arrested five times in the Phoenix area in three years.

* Just in time for what would have been his 100th birthday early next year, a complete set of episodes of Ronald Reagan’s “General Electric Theater” has been recovered and is being presented to his presidential library in Simi Valley, Calif., AP reports. Once believed to have been lost, the 208 episodes from 1954 to 1962 were recently found in the NBC archives and restored. GE, which is underwriting the library’s centennial festivities, was scheduled to present the tapes to Nancy Reagan at a ceremony Wednesday.
