Three Sentenced to Prison for Gila River Assault
PHOENIX, AZ—Kimberly Soriano, 41, Christopher Pablo, 20, and Isaac Morgan, 21, all of Laveen, Arizona were sentenced on March 15, 2010 by U.S. District Judge Susan R. Bolton to federal prison for committing the crime of assault resulting in serious bodily injury. Kimberly Soriano was sentenced to 33 months imprisonment to be followed by a term of 3 years of supervised release. Christopher Pablo was sentenced to a term of 30 months imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release. Isaac Morgan was also sentenced to a term of 30 months imprisonment followed by 3 years of supervised released.
The three co-defendants pleaded guilty in December to assaulting the victim. In the plea agreement, the three admitted to repeatedly punching and kicking the victim. The victim suffered serious bodily injury as a result of the attack. The assault occurred on June 7, 2009 on the Gila River Indian Reservation.
