ASUS, HTC, LG, Dell, and Samsung All Confirmed Windows Phone 7 Manufacturers
First thing you’ll notice about a few of those companies, is the fact that most of them are pretty much heavily invested in another mobile Operating System right now (Android). But that’s not stopping them from jumping onto the Microsoft train, though. Nor should it: these guys get more money by having more options, and while Android has been a great jumping-off point to get them into the public eye, they can now probably safely go back to their roots: Windows Mobile (heavily upgraded).

Right now, Windows Phone 7 is still pegged at getting launched some time in the holiday season. So, that’s just a few months from now. The other way to look at it, of course, is that they’re quickly running out of time to break those covers on these phones, and start showing the world what the first batch of Windows Phone 7 “superphones” have waiting to release unto the unsuspecting populace. With these companies confirmed, we’re hoping that all of them have some kind of launch device ready to go. After all, we’re excited about WP7, but we want more than one phone to choose from when it launches.
