FacePlant Brings Video Voicemail to the iPhone 4

FaceTime is a nifty feature of the iPhone 4, allowing you to video chat with another iPhone 4 owner anywhere there’s Wi-Fi. But there’s a new application for the iPhone 4 that is taking that idea one step higher. FacePlant is a free application that allows you to both video chat and send video voicemails to a fellow iPhone 4 owner.
The application is similar to what you might find in a instant messaging application. You sign up for a free FacePlant account, the application searches through your contacts, then a buddy list is populated with people who are FaceTime-compatible contacts. You can then see contacts that are available to chat, and if you don’t want to be disturbed, you can enable a privacy mode. Best of all, you can send a contact a video voicemail and they’ll get a push notification to view it right from the application.
