Barnes & Noble Updates Nook App, Brings it to Android

July 22nd, 2010 at 1:00 pm |

Barnes and Noble pushed its Nook app live to Android today, so mobile users that have decided to stick with Google can now choose between Amazon’s Kindle app and B&N for their reading-on-the-go endeavors. Additionally, iOS device owners have also been given a little treat through the Nook app.

The iPad edition now has support for  New York Times subscriptions. The digital version looks like its print counterpart and can also be purchased individually per day. Barnes and Noble has included this feature to give it an edge against the Amazon Kindle app.

If you don’t already have it, you can download the free Nook app. The app includes brightness control, two page view and periodical support.
