Peugeot to launch electric minicar
Mitsubishi’s plug-in electric car, the i-MIEV
PSA Peugeot Citroën will next year start production of an electric minicar in Europe based on Mitsubishi Motors’ recently launched i-MiEV.
The project marks a further strengthening of ties between the French and Japanese carmakers, which are building a joint venture factory in Russia, due to produce cars and sport utility vehicles from 2011. Mitsubishi also makes Peugeot’s 4007 and Citroën’s C-Crosser 4×4 models for the French group in Japan.
