Average iPhone user spends $80 on iPhone Apps

September 7th, 2009 at 4:55 pm |

If a survey of 1,200 users conducted by AppsFire is to be believed, the average amount of money spent per device (iPhone / iPod touch) is $80. The survey breaks it down further by showing that more than 15,000 apps have been installed through the 1,200 users, and about 65 apps installed per device.

The results from the survey are definitely worth reading, especially if you like stats. I should also mention that AppsFire is a service that lets you share your favorite apps with anyone else, so there is something in common with each user being surveyed.

$80 per device is definitely an interesting statistic, and as usual I’m personally throwing off the curve with 164 applications installed on my iPhone as of this writing. How many apps do you have installed?
